Football fans beware

The first week of preseason NFL games has come and gone. The NFL and the networks are thumbing threw their piles of cash while fans who attended games across the country are talking about how hot it was or how they only saw a Vince Young or Peyton Manning for a few seconds.
Titans fans didn't see Young take a single snap. Most all regulars or starters barely saw two series. Yet, fans are paying the same price for tickets to these games that they might nine weeks from now. These contests are nothing but glorified scrimmage games. Three weeks from now, about half the guys in uniform in the second half will be trying to find a new line of work or telling their agents they're willing to play in Canada or Europe. So, hope you enjoyed the cheerleading routines, mascots and national anthem, because you didn't get your money's worth on the field. That would explain all of the empty seats at the games this weekend. I understand the teams not wanting their starters to get injured during a pre-season game that doesn't even matter, but they should charge reduced prices for those games. Or have autograph sessions or something before, or after, the games so that the fans don't walk away from a pre-season game feeling like they've just been mugged.
Not only did Young not play, but the fact that he was suspended for the game was not announced until one hour before kickoff, thereby duping the general public even further. The Titans knew well before the game that Young was AWOL from the team hotel. It is a greedy business to charge full price for a scrimmage in the first place. It was down right deceitful to withhold the information until all the tickets were sold.
Give me a break and don't act like you aren't glad football is back - even in preseason form. I'm sure you spent plenty of time watching the Titans cheerleaders (not in preseason form) and smiling at the prospect of watching an overweight LenDale White get 20 carries.
You have me on the cheerleader part t-vol, but there is absolutely nothing about LenDale White that makes me smile. Wasted talent, wasted attitude, wasted draft choice, wasted money.......
