How dumb is Michael Vick?
If somebody was to offer you $130 million over the next 10 years as a base salary and told you all you had to do was come to work, lead a normal lifestyle and not gamble, don't you think you could do it? Vick couldn't. Was it really that important to electrocute some wounded animals? Is it necessary to see dogs fight each other to the death as a means of entertainment? He has already earned $44 million, including $37 million in guaranteed bonuses from the Atlanta Falcons. But, they are trying to get some of that back and likely will never have to cut him another check again. Maybe there is some truth the the Madden Curse. Somebody go tail Vince Young (this year's cover boy) to see if he is stocking up on Kibbles 'n Bits or hanging out at a casino. I think Vince Young is a classier guy than that, but you never know and it does seem that Madden game curse is becoming more real. I just don't understand how guys that have the opportunity to play such a great sport and make a ridiculous amount of money while doing it can screw it up so badly. I could only dream of having that kind of opportunity. Heck, just pay me $100,000 a year and I would be happy to play a sport that I love.
It's all about "how much can I get away with?".
