Fall is in the air

It looks like it might be about time to put away the sandals and shorts and bust out the jeans and sleeves. I'll gladly make that trade in exchange for region football games with playoff implications.
All three Bedford County teams have a chance to make the playoffs with Shelbyville and Cascade undefeated thus far in Region 5-4A and Region 5-A, respectively. If Community can build off the experience of already playing two of the top 10 ranked teams in Class A already, they can push for a postseason slot as well. That would be an exciting time to have three schools here all make the playoffs. Middle school basketball fans might not like it as much, but I'm sure they'd understand. By the way, here are the schools I voted No. 1 in the latest AP poll: Riverdale (5A), Maryville (4A), Knoxville Catholic (3A), Alcoa (2A), Friendship Christian (A) and Brentwood Academy (DII).
