BCS flaws

Everybody wants to know. Did the BCS get it right?
Big Ten champion Ohio State and SEC champion LSU face off in New Orleans in the Allstate BCS Championship Game on Jan. 7. The result of the game likely won't tell us if the system worked in choosing both participants. The Buckeyes will have 50 days off between their regular season finale versus Michigan and this game. A heck of a lot can happen to an 18-22 year-old in 50 days. Physically a player can change greatly over that time and rust has to be a factor. How do you even schedule your practice times and preparation with such a long layoff? On top of trying to keep players in game shape, they also have to contend with final exams and Christmas with their families. Despite playing two weeks longer than OSU, LSU will have 37 days off. With the television money and bowl situation being what it is, this system may never change. That's sad because we may never get to see these teams at their best on their grandest stage. I just wished the Vols could play two full halves of football instead of just one. They had the game won and gave it away multiple times. LSU does not deserve to be in the Title Game.
LSU as bad as i hate to say it, does belong in the title game. For one and only one reason. They are the champion of the toughest football conference in America. I wish all conferences had championship games, and the playoff started from there.
Yeah, they have an SEC team playing for a national championship! Just imagine we almost got MizzU vs WVU for the BCS Game! The Weak 12 and the Big Least.
