Tip of the hat

Posted Sunday, December 30, 2007, at 11:43 PM

The task looked daunting going in but the Tennessee Titans proved to be just deep enough to outlast the defending-champion Colts 16-10 on Sunday night.

With both teams' starting quarterbacks -- Peyton Manning and Vince Young -- wearing baseball caps much of the second half, Kerry Collins spelled an injured Young and completed 10-of-13 passes to help move the offense close enough to help Rob Bironas boot a pair of fourth-quarter field goals.

Tennessee now heads to San Diego on Sunday for an opening-round playoff game at 3:30 p.m. Now we'll see if the Titans learned anything from their 23-17 debacle of a loss on Dec. 9.

Not sure Vince Young is going to get it done. The offense looked alot better without him in there. At least the Titans moved the ball. Maybe having to plan for two quarterbacks will hurt San Diego. If I have to choose between Vince healthy or Haynseworth, I am going Haynseworth all the way.
