Recruiting violation?Posted Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at 12:42 AM
Is this Clemson recruit Kenneth Page holding a pile of cash?
As you can see above, a young man is holding 10 stacks of what appear to be $20 bills. It was taken off a myspace page that also allegedly contained a humorous caption. Ladies, I am both virile and blessed with cash, and other men I refer to as "haterz" cannot sleep at night thinking of my wealth and influence. Ordinarily, this wouldn't seem like much of an issue. Then, you learn that the young man pictured is allegedly Clemson offensive line commit Kenneth Page. It seems doubtful that it would take too much to convince a Columbia, S.C., native to stay home to play for the Tigers. But, when schools like Notre Dame, South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee are knocking on your door, a little extra couldn't hurt. Is this really Page though? Compare some of the photos from Clemson's site and Rivals.com and decide for yourself. According to edsbs.com, the photo was taken down off his myspace page quickly after word started to circulate. But, who's to say it's his money? Who's to say it's even him or even real money for that matter? Anyone who thinks their top-notch DI football program does everything by the book is fooling themselves. There are alumni all over these campuses that have more money than they know what to do with. Some of those funds might be newsprint if the young man was making a joke.
The problem is,there's too much real corruption going on to know whether this is a jest or a public revelation of someone's greed and stupidity.
Definitely the same kid and pretty sure that is real money. Too bad Clemson recruited a moron who will no doubt get them investigated because of his stupidity. Every big school in the country is doing that, so it doesn't surprise me.
I have no idea who he is....but you'd think (or a woman would) that if infact he had that much money he'd be sitting in the drivers side of that truck!
HAHA, Laura... you're funny. I think women pay so much attention to detail. Good eye ;)
I don't know where he got that money but anybody can have their picture taken with stuff. It doesn't mean it's his. To me it says I'm stupid. It is more likely to get him shot by those "haterz" instead of a lady. Glad he not playing for Tennessee.
Gives a a whole new meaning to the IPTAY Stickers!
(I Pay Ten Per Year) bumper stickers in Clemson. If you are from South Carolina you know what it is. IPTAY is a booster club slogan since 1934 that has supported Clemson Athletics. He must be the poster child for that orgnization.
I wouldn't put much stock into myspace pics...lol
But it does look like real money to me and I wouldn't put it past any school buying players, no offense, but especially The Vols...YUCK!!
Disturbia,
