The commitments are rolling in for Tennessee. Vol Nation has to be pretty excited with how things have gone thus far on National Signing Day.
On top of having a solid Top 25 class coming in, they've added safety Darren Myles, athlete Marsalis Teague, receiver Nu'Keese Richardson and linebacker Greg King. Two of those signees are prized in-state recruits and none of the four seriously considered the Vols under the previous coaching staff. The big one who got away was Memphis product Marlon Brown, who just chose to take his talents to Georgia. Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |

now we will see what they do with it. Probably choke like they always do lol
Rivals has this class ranked at 23 and Scout.com has them ranked at 22. Quite a bit lower than what we've become accustomed to from the Vols. Have to figure the Coaching change in Mid-Season along with the sub 500 record factored in. I believe the new Coaching staff will have them back in the top ten next season though (in recruiting). I'm pretty excited about next season right now.
This year's "ranking" will go up considerably since cornerback Janzen Jackson signed this morning. He's a five-star recruit out of Louisiana. Too much of the rankings are based on quantity rather than quality.
Fulmer's last class in 2008 was ranked 40th by Rivals. They were third in 2007 and 23rd in 2006. In the SEC, you can't have gaps in talent like that.
We are also still in the running for the number one running back, Bryce Brown, out of Kansas. He has us listed among 5 other teams and hasn't committed yet. He would put us near the top ten I'd assume.
