Beauty of Bedford County

I've had some time off this week and hit the back roads looking for feature shots. And I've found lots of them, so keep your eyes on the T-G's print edition and here on the blog. (Click the photo at right for a larger version).

Among the best areas are Whiteside Hill Road and Cathey Road where I found photo after photo.

Bedford County's got an amazing amount of scenery if you keep your eyes open.

And it seems so peaceful and content out in the "sticks". Everyone could use a little dose of country sometimes.

Not so peaceful: A few miles north of us in Nashville, the Tennessee Titans got into their usual pre-season scuffle Wednesday.

Seems like they do that every year. When you have high-paid men fighting for starting positions arguments are bound to happen.

If they can harness that energy toward opponents then maybe we could see a better season than last year.

I've got confidence in Vince Young and the Titans. A future NFL powerhouse may be developing.
