Where is Wisteria Court?

Posted Wednesday, August 15, 2007, at 7:20 AM

We received an e-mail at the T-G from a potential yard sale customer trying to find Wisteria Court.

John Carney, who along with local police and post office workers is unfamiliar with the street, passed the e-mail on to me. I got a copy of the latest county map and Wisteria Court's not on it.

All we know is that this Wisteria Court has no connection with Wisteria Lane on "Desperate Housewives."

The T-G classified ad for the yard sale lists Wisteria Court under "northside", meaning north of Shelbyville.

Being a local native, I've been familiar with practically every road in the city and county until the recent spurt of new subdivisions. I like to be knowledgeable of our area and wanted to help a customer.

So I spent part of Tuesday afternoon riding through several subdivisions just north of Shelbyville off Midland Road, U.S. 231 and Fairfield Pike. No luck.

Here's where you can help us out. If you're familiar with Wisteria Court, please let us know where it is. (And it'll probably end up being in a totally familiar place we've all driven by and never noticed...)

I've never heard of it either, but I did a search on the internet and found a real estate website that has a listing for a Wisteria Circle in Bell Buckle. According to the map, it turns off of Loop Street. I wonder if that's the one they were referring to.

I have never heard of it but there are a lot of roads I have never heard of..I bet though it is in one of the new sub-divisions. What are they calling the road inside the new condo's at the horseshow grounds at Blue Ribbon Pky? Or maybe that really isn't considered Northside?

although its been almost a year since I drove for Domino's pizza, I do remember the majority of the roads of Bedford country, and I've never heard of a Wisteria Court. How far into northside was the customer talking, farhter than Frank Martin or Benford Road?

You definently got my curiosity peaked so I went to Google maps, Yahoo Maps and Mapquest and there doesn't seem to be a "Wisteria Court" in Shelbyville. So now I am completely puzzled as to where this place is...but am determined to find it.
