Yet another Friday FivePosted Friday, November 2, 2007, at 10:11 AM
Five quick thoughts as the weekend arrives:
*I wish the state would go on and four-lane U.S. 41-A between Shelbyville and Tullahoma. Seems like one slow driver slows everyone down. *If you really want to be cheap, save your leftover Halloween candy and serve it for dessert at Thanksgiving dinner. (P.S.: Your family deserves better...) *Did you see all the people in Washington disguised as politicians on Wednesday for Halloween? Oh, wait, some of ‘em wear those disguises year-round... *Hillary Rodham Clinton: Self-confident or arrogant? She sure avoids direct answers to debate questions well. But "well" isn't good in this case, when you're an undecided voter and want to know specific positions. *And a few words from Pat Sajak: "It seems there is something about anonymity which brings out the worst in us. If you doubt that, come with me into the often-weird world of Internet chat rooms and message boards." I guess that would apply to bloggers and commenters, too. I think he does a great job on Wheel of Fortune. But I happen to strongly disagree with Pat on anonymity. He's W - - - G. (I'm still trying to get Vanna to put in a guest appearance here and flip the letters...) |
