  • I hope not . . . that's all we need is some big media star in the White House.

  • I don't know...she sounds as good as any to me. Not because she's a woman (because I cringe at the thought Hill-Bill back in office).

  • I like the woman, I think she stands for all that is good and just in THE WORLD. The problem is, her interests outside of the United States place her taking money from her proceeds here from advertisers and improving education and lifestyles in another country. That's nothing different then our current administration except she is actually improving something not destroying it while his buddies are getting rich off the bodies of our soldiers.

Would she actually focus her agenda for the United States or the World as a whole? I don't know about anyone here, but we are hurting as a nation, our educational system sucks, our health care sucks, our economy sucks, our national security sucks, our employment "ethics" sucks, and the main reason for this is Accountability.

Once we know we have a problem, do we actually do something? Hell no, this crappy 2 party congress debates the issue and hides whatever it wants to from the public. Nothing ever gets done because each one of them is afraid of any kind of possible backlash. No-one wants accountability if something goes wrong.

The problem is, Everything is now WRONG because no-one has done a thing to stop or fix it. Do you think Oprah can do that? Can she motivate the fat terds in congress to actually take up burden and do something?

These are the questions that need to be asked of all of each person that runs or is still in any sort of public office EACH day; Not once every election period. Let them carry the burden instead of reaping the benefits getting nothing accomplished.

  • Oprah did open up a girl's school in Chicago. The girls started dropping out because family and friends were giving them you-know-what about going to 'Oprah's school' and trying to be "better than everyone else". You know, ...BS. She tried to work out the kinks but found that most folks had the attitude she was throwing her weight around and trying to just show up the other schools. I think she was really trying to make a difference, but she either went about it the wrong way or those folks just had too big of a chip on their shoulder.

  • I agree Evil Monkey . . . I get tired of us investing billions and trillions of dollars in other nations when we have so many domestic issues here at home that need fixing. I pay tax dollars so the government can make my life better . . . not ungrateful people in the Middle East.

  • Evil Monkey you are right on track with this one.

  • Agreed Evil Monkey...

What do you think about Ron Paul? He seems to be the guy you should vote for. He is one of the ONLY people running who never voted for the war, never voted for the patriot act, never voted for no child left behind, is against big government and says 9/11 could have been stopped, but it wasn't [for many reasons]...

Honestly, I am the furthest leaf away from a Republican tree, but he seems to be on to what most Americans feel, and his voting record proves it, long before this year..

As for Oprah, she is an amazingly blessed woman. She is a pilanthropist and should be commended for her notable works.... Like Evil Monkey said, she is spending money oversees, but atleast she is building things rather than destroying innocent people. The only problem I see with her, is that she actually has emotion other than hate and anger. Apparently, that's something this country prefers ... until last November. With all that said, Oprah has already said she would NEVER run for president because she knows she couldn't do it, if only George Bush was as honest????
