What's your snow prediction?

Remember snow? You know, the white fluffy stuff that fell out of the sky? The stuff your parents and grandparents tell stories about?
The stuff that hasn't accumulated deeply here for several years? We're under a winter storm watch for Friday night and Saturday. I've been watching various weather charts and have two predictions: 1. Two inches by Saturday morning. 2. Long lines at grocery stores Friday. What's your snow depth prediction? Comments Showing most recent comments first [Show in chronological order instead] |

well, One of my predictions was wrong. I ended up doing a little shopping tonight (the dogs were hungry), but the lines were long and Walmarts was pretty crowded.
If my kids go play in this snow without their jacket on, Im gonna tear that tail up.
1.5" so far, and it just began 25 mins ago!
And my goodness, the winds are ridiculous... It's howling outside my bedroom window. Being upstairs with a tin roof, you can hear it all! I even hear the ice hitting the roof!
LOL... It sure does... But, it's about to change over soon. Nashville intersates are covered, and there is already an inch on the ground there. [And it's supposed to continue to snow until noon tomorrow]
It seems to be ice right now even though the top of this blog page says unknown Precip (I know it hurts when it hits you)
Nobody said Global Warming stopped snow. But we sure have seen less and less of it every year since 2003... That year it snowed over 7 inches. I sure haven't seen that much since. And it the prior years, I certainly don't remember January and February having "spring-like" temperatures, and record breaking high temps... But who knows, I.. just like you haven't devoted our entire live's to studying climate change, and global issues. Lucky for us, you are just a spectator. But perhaps, spanking children and such should stop Global Warming :)
Oh, by the way, my prediction is about 3.5"
It cant snow, remember global warming?
Not sure about the snow but feel fairly certain it will be muddy Sunday.
Don't know but it sure is getting colder today Brrrrrrr.
Our son & his family lived in Johnson City, TN for a couple of years. I think our grandson was around 3 when they moved back to Florida. They left his sled with us, as they don't need it in Orlando. Once we had a couple of inches of snow, & I wrapped up in coat, toboggan, scarf, boots, gloves, etc., to go outside & sit on the sled & let Jeffrey's papa take a picture of me on the sled. Jeffrey is now 13. I really need to do that again for him, so 2 or 3 inches might be nice, providing it melts quickly.
6-8 inches
Maybe and inch if we are lucky. Yesterday they were predicting 2-4 inches here, then last night it went down to 1-3 inches. Now it is down to 1-2 inches.
I predict that when I see it I will believe it!!
Personally, the weathermedia has cried wolf, err, snow much too often in recent years. I, for one, think we will get maybe an inch and a half, and that's it. I have friends in Canada who laugh hysterically at how we in the South panic anytime a snowflake hits the ground and stays white for more than a minute, lol!
4.5 inches of snow... No going to the grocery store at all :)
I have a conspiracy theory when it comes to snow. I think when the grocery stores want to make some extra money on bread and milk, and possibly the teachers would like a day off, they talk the weather folks into predicting a couple inches of snow. I predict one of the same things as David, long lines at the grocery store on friday, so I plan on doing my grocery shopping on saturday.
I was really hoping it would do it before the weekened so we could get out of school. The kids want to play in it so I guess anytime is a good time. If it would just come!
I predict it will start snowing at 12:00 and we will get out early on Friday! Three inches.
