'American President': The show goes onPosted Sunday, March 9, 2008, at 10:38 PM
Hillary Clinton and husband are now suggesting Barack Obama would make a great vice-presidential candidate.
It's a simple yet calculated move to make undecided Democrats awaiting the remaining primaries think of Obama as a vice-president instead of a president.
The Democratic primary war is both fascinating and irritating to watch with each candidate trying to outmaneuver the other.
Maybe primary finalists should be chosen by a series of several-times-a-week TV shows, with a winnowed-down group of 24 -- 12 in each party -competing in debates each week through the spring.
Vote out a few each week until Republican and Democratic finalists are chosen.
Have three pundits instantly critique each performance and let the public vote after each show. Put it on "fair and balanced" Fox, of course.
The show's name? "American President," of course. Might work if there was a way to ensure only registered voters called.
