  • David,

I hate having words put into my mouth. That is exactly what you are doing to Simon Cowell. I heard said performance and it was horrible. It sounded frenetic. There was nothing about it that worked because it came across as unrehearsed and amateurish. Mr. Cowell's comment was warranted and sounded to me like an attempt to characterize the situation with what one would expect to hear from rank amateurs at an unrehearsed, amateur event. If you want to be upset with someone, perhaps it should be Ms. Cook. After all she is the one who made the song into a country spoof that was totally tasteless! In my opinion, it was she who mocked the south.

  • Simon Cowell insult someone?????!!!!!!!! Oh my, I can't imagine! That is why I love him. He is not so sugar coated like Paula who is scared to hurt people's feelings most of the time. He says what most people think. Even my favorite David Archuleta did bad last night. But Chekezie was AWESOME!! At least if we are insulted we are comfortable in front of our tv's watching it and complaining about it. It is surprising to me that he doesn't bring some people to tears.

  • NO Simon was not making fun of the SOUTH. Come on he was telling her what a bad job she did with the song. He tell's it like it is. When they sing country songs in the past he has had alot of good things to say about country music. I love Simon !!!

  • Maybe I misinterpreted???

I'll give Simon credit for telling it like it is when it comes to the performers.

If I were on that stage I'd definitely be listening to his advice.

  • Sarcastic Simon, Push-over Paula, Racist Randy(come on Dawg)----I'd trust Simon's opinion any day over the other two. He's the only honest one in the bunch. Paula loves everybody, she can't hear the difference from one voice to the next because she's acts like she's about 3 sheets in the wind. And Randy...we won't even go there.

  • time2relax,

I don't think Randy is racist, he loved Taylor Hicks and Carrie Underwood, and I do believe he was a big Clay Aiken supporter as well and as far as I know, they are all 3 white. But I have to agree with you about Paula, whatever she is on, she needs some help and quick like.

anyway, I just watch to see Ryan ;)
