Unreasonable thoughtsPosted Thursday, November 6, 2008, at 1:50 PM
These were on display at Bedford County Republican Headquarters on election night.
Look above at the sheets which were on a table in Bedford County Republican Headquarters on election night.
I'll defend anyone's right to freedom of speech, while not necessarily agreeing with what they're saying.
As in the case of what's in the above photo.
During my time there as part of election night coverage, I didn't see anyone actually looking at these. Maybe no one wanted to be associated with them.
I'm not implying that everyone -- or even the majority -- of the people in the building agreed with the contents of these pages, which were printed off someone's web site.
They look like Internet banner ads, or maybe bumper stickers. And I guess some of them are meant as sarcastic humor.
I realize tough talk is normal during national election campaigns.
But comparasions between President-elect Obama and Osama bin Laden, and some of the other thoughts expressed, are going entirely too far. What do YOU think these imply?
