A tree for all occasionsPosted Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at 9:44 AM
This tree was on the stage at Southside School during last week's Veterans Day program.
It's a decorated, lighted, if somewhat barren tree, which represents Christmas (even if Christmas can't be 'officially' celebrated in schools); flags represent veterans; and the orange ball on top at first reminded me of Halloween. Even the tree's color resembles snow, which I predict we'll see more of this winter than in past years. Someone sure knew how to include everything in this Tree For All Occasions.
