You can help a starPosted Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at 9:04 AM
Chris Johnson needs our help.
The Tennessee Titan running back isn't satisfied with his touchdown celebrations. He's asking fans to Twitter him with ideas. I can see him tumbling head over heels like a gymnast as fireworks fly from his uniform and dancing girls run out to surround him. He could even get Hooters to sponsor his celebrations and supply the girls. On second thought, maybe not. Johnson played drums last year after a score -- and paid a $10,000 fine as a result. Wonder if he could get by with a guitar in, after all, Music City? I'm not particularly against NFL touchdown celebrations, as long as they don't become arrogant attacks against vanquished defenders. After all, football's just a game. Big business and expensive for fans and teams, yes, but it's a game. And football players are entertainers. That holds true for all athletes performing where admission is charged. Think about it. You go to or watch athletic events on TV to be entertained. Got any ideas on how Chris could put on more of a show? Tell us -- and tell Chris at http://twitter.com/ChrisJohnson28.
