  • This program would do more than add years to our lives.

It would add life to our years.

People of any age, income or level of health could benefit from the mindset behind this effort.

Thinness, longevity, etc. aren't meant to be goals in themselves but results obtainable from maximized good health.

The great thing about this particular effort is that it focuses on the inner person as well as the purely physical.

It plays up the synergy between the mind and the body and between the community and the individual.

AARP could start this but other groups (civic and private) could get on board and make this work.

Making our city more livable would make it more profitable as well.

This shouldn't take a whole lot of money but creating a thriving, attractive, efficient and congenial community of healthier, more connected individuals would be worth any time, energy or funds spent.
