  • Ask the folks who ran the yard sale who they sold it to.

    I don't think offering to cut the scooter in half would help but it would be interesting to see who owned it if somebody made a complaint that a scooter answering its description caused an injury or did some serious property damage.

    (If it's a Rascal type scooter rather than the skateboard- with-a-stick type,I'd offer them $10 and they could split the money.)

  • If im not mistaken the one who claimed it was from a yard sale could not "remember" where the sale was at...just on some back road or something...I could be wrong...

  • driedleaves' first question. "Mam, will you please provide the address of the yard sale so we can send someone to check it out. If she couldn't answer or completely freaked out, the problem would clear up quicker that a Shelbyville squall. If she has a good answer it gets more complicated, I'd go with quantumcat.
