  • I shop at the stores because those dollars spent in my town go back to my town -- not to a faceless e-company in another state.

    Funny poem, David. Loved it!

  • I had to delete one comment because it contained a link to the website of a online store. Please don't link to businesses.

Here's the comment without the link:

"I think it is a mistake for people to battle it out in the stores. The better discounts are online where the companies can keep the costs down because of less overhead. Plus, you get to avoid things like the traffic, finding a parking space. Heck, these days you have to worry about being trampled. All this is so unnecessary know with online shopping. Don't know why everyone is not doing it.

    Best,

    John Marshall"

  • David Melson,

In other words, John Marshall needs to call your office and allow your salespeople to tell him how many clicks this site gets, how many people are seeing it, and how he needs to pay for an advertisement much like the one at the top of this page instead of getting it for free in his post.

It's all about revenues isn't it?

  • I PREFER TO SHOP AT HOME .I DO NOT LIKE TRAFFIC THAT INCLUDES NORTH MAIN. BUT I CANNOT ALWAYS FIND EVERYTHING I NEED OR WANT AT WALLY -WORLD, OR THE DOLLAR STORES THATS IS JUST ABOUT ALL THE STORES IN THIS TOWN THAT PEOPLE ON A LOW INCOME CAN AFFORD .YES I KNOW WE HAVE A FEW SPECIALITY STORES BUT EVERYONE CANT AFFORD THEM. I REALLY WISH SOMEONE WOULD COME HERE AND GIVE US SOME MORE CHOICES. I WISH K- MART WOULD RETURN OR MAYBE A TARGET STORE. IF SHELBYVILLE HAD MORE TO OFFER MAYBE MORE PEOPLE WOULD STAY HOME AND SHOP.

  • David, I can tell by the time of day that you wrote this blog, you had no plans of getting up early to shop Black Friday. Always look forward to your blogs. Thanks for the time that you put into your blogs. It really shows dedication to your work.
