Happy now, Lane Kiffin?Posted Thursday, June 10, 2010, at 2:45 PM
Looks like USC football coach Lane Kiffin won't be going bowling for the next two seasons -- at least.
The NCAA stepped in after multiple violations in the football and other programs and, beyond the two-year bowl ban, took away 10 scholarships per season and is putting restrictions on recruiting. Poor Lane. He had such high hopes after walking out on Tennessee after a year. The violations happened before Kiffin arrived. But I'm still not really feeling sorry for him right now. I guess "life in the fast Lane" in USC's football program will be put on hold for awhile. Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |

Oh,Kiffy Boy was there when the violations occured, and the infractions committee may very well have considered his return to be a slap in their face by the University of Serious Cheaters.
I'm just glad he's their problem, and hope he didn't leave an investigation behind when he left UT. Every time he opened his mouth while here I felt a compulsion to look over my shoulder.
Not my problem now. Thank goodness.
If anything he said was the truth, I think he is glad to be back at USC either way. The position does not come open too often and he wanted it.
The silver lining for him might be that he has two years to buld his program without concerns of not being in bowls, but 10 scholarships and restriction on recruiting has got to hurt.
He was there in 2004 and is partly to blame for the Reggie Bush cheating incident. Im glad they punished them some, but I would have liked even more. I hope the cheating baby never wins a game there. I guess he is crying to daddy now. Enjoy watching the bowls next year "Lame." I sure hope UT makes a bowl and he is forced to watch us play in it.

Steve, I think maybe there was one time during an early interview upon returning to USC that the truth might have escaped Kiffin's lips. That interview can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cbwmsi4q...
A few appropriate phrase come to mind here..."Goobye"..."Good Riddance"...and it looks like the proverbial door did hit him in his a** on the way out. Ain't Karma beautiful?
