Picturing the Past 91: Wartrace auditoriumPosted Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at 11:56 AM
The Wartrace High auditorium from June 21, 1956. (T-G file photo)
Not sure what's going on here but it doesn't appear that it drew much of a crowd. I was in school during the last days of the old auditoriums. I remember class assemblies in the late 1960s and early 1970s were in those auditoriums but in later years as new school buildings were constructed they moved to the spacious new gyms. The Cascade High School senior class of 1976 would be the last group of seniors to walk across that stage to receive their diplomas. I was in that group. Thanks for this pic David, it brought back a few old memories!
That is another great picture David, however, I do not think that I was ever in any of the Wartrace facilities outside of the gym and the baseball field.
This stage looks very familiar as I attended Wartrace Elementary and Wartrace High from the 4th grade thru the 12th grade and finished in 1955 with lots of fine menories of that building.
