Picturing the Past 123: The Only PlacePosted Sunday, August 7, 2011, at 9:55 PM
The Only Place restaurant as it appeared in 1974 on Madison Street. (T-G File Photo)
This is the same location where the old Mr. Burger drive-in was before burning in the early 1970s. If I'm recalling correctly, the original Mr. Burger burned and was replaced by this building, which was also Mr. Burger but without the drive-in portion. Seems like Mr. Burger's owner sold the restaurant a short time after the rebuild.
And it seems to me that The Only Place may have been moved to several places in the 1970s and 1980s. Correct me if I'm wrong.
