Remember these Central High athletes from the 1970s? Here's a photo from the Shelbyville Quarterback Club's All-Sports Banquet held May 20, 1976, apparently at Griffin Park, or, as it was known then, the Park Complex. Basketball winners from the 1975-76 season, from left, are Raymond Lanier, Varsity Boys Defensive Award; Bug Calahan, Varsity Girls MVP; Deana Cash, Varsity Girls Outstanding Forward; Michelle Peacock, Varsity Girls Outstanding Guard; Sandy Darnell, Freshman Girls Outstanding Guard; Melody Westbrooks, Freshman Girls Outstanding Forward; and Calvin Hampton, Varsity Boys MVP. Not pictured: David Crowell, Freshman Boys MVP.
