Right use for a gunPosted Monday, January 2, 2012, at 8:57 AM
Like them or not, here's one case where legally carrying a gun came in handy...
From the Associated Press:
"SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- As many as 10 people jumped into an icy Utah river to help save three trapped children after a car plunged down a 10-foot embankment and flipped over, the state's Highway Patrol said Sunday.
"...One man shot out the car's window with a handgun...to help free the children. Chris Willden, a Department of Defense contractor with a background in law enforcement, shot out one window with his Glock handgun after trying unsuccessfully to open windows and doors."
I've never had a desire to go armed. And criminals have no business with guns (...as if wishes could happen). But, for those who think no one at all should carry a weapon, this guy really came in handy.
