just too expensive
Posted Thursday, October 4, at 6:25 PM
I went to a pharmacy today....a place that i visit quite frequently because i have irreversible lung damage sustained from a job i worked for many years. I was in a outside line already ticked off because i was going to have shell out over $100.00 to pick up some medicine that amounts to a 15 day supply....over in the next line i heard a lady scream out $285.00!!! I really felt bad for her because she had to drive off....she just couldn't afford the medicine. How can medicines cost so much? I mean medicines for my lungs i thought were ridiculously high..but man if i had to pay that much.... it better be a life long cure...after i take that bottle i'm cured for life!! I know its not like that. Does anybody know how these pharmaceutical companies arrive at these prices for there drugs. Even with insurance some of the medications if they are not generic are super high. I think its rather odd that some of these same medications over in Canada are bought at half of the price they are being sold for in the United States.

exploitation of workers
Posted Monday, September 24, at 12:53 AM

its the year 2007 and there are companies here that are actually paying workers $7.50 an hour, in my opinion its so sad....seems the rich are getting richer from the exploitation of American workers...its just a blatant disregard for the well being of hard working people, and to make matters worse their are companies that wont even hire some employees full time just to prevent insurance.I don't see any hope in things getting better there is not alot hard working people can do but try and vote someone in office that can hopefully change these policies, but it seems once thst person gets in office things change. ...

I have said this before in my opinion President Bush is the worst president that the United States has ever had. Its not totally because of the Iraq war either, although thats is a huge part, in my opinion he comes on Television and he never tells the truth...you know one thing about all people in general is that we all...well must of us can forgive....me personally if he would come out on Televison at a primetime hour and tell the American people that he was wrong, he made a monumental mistake and he is sorry....it would change the way i think about him....some.. ...

rule or law needs to be changed

Will someone tell me why i have to pay for a sewer bill every single month even though i'm not tied into the sewer system. To me its like paying for electricity when you don't have it, or paying for a phone bill when you don't have a phone. We are in the process of buying a home, when we purchased the home we were fully aware that we had a...

I for one wish that Shelbyville was bigger, maybe just maybe there would be more things to do for everyone especially teenagers. I'm truly amazed on the growth of Murfreesboro Tn. I understand with growth you incur problems such as more firemen, policemen, etc.etc. but i always thought that with the horseshow being here that it...
