i never thought i would see the day when i would actually contemplate voting .................republican...both parties have almost switched sides of some issues. I'm looking at Senator Clinton and Senator Obama and i'm waiting for them to denouunce illegal immigration and they are just not doing it. I watched the YouTube debates and their was not one question about illegal immigration. If they are for the comprehensive illegal immigration plan they ought to come out and say it, both seem to be avoiding the issue altogether. This is a major issue with me and i suspect with millions of other americans. I think the canidate that stands for enforcing laws that we already have on the books will fair quite well in the presidential election....so thats why i'm confused, it seems now after failing to get their comprehensive immigration plan passed some of the canidates as well as senators in the republican party are now speaking out about illegal immigration. I'm sad to say to me it looks like the Democrates are looking the other way just to get the Hispanic vote...could be wrong but thats what it looks like. I think that there are probably alot of people that are watching this like me...waiting to see if there is a major canidate that is going to stand up for America in this regard on the Democratic side. I must admit that in the past i would automatically vote Democratic but because of this issue thats all changed now. I will definitely vote for a candiate thats not going to sell out in all aspects of government, I'm totally for legal immigration but i will never ever be in favor of illegal immigrants stealing peoples social security numbers to obtain work, we couldn't do it in their country and they should not be allowed to do it in ours....its a slap in the face to all immigrants that came here legally.

Well you can look at it this way, we have had a Republican in office for 8 years "What have they done in 8 years to fight against Illegal immigration?"
As far as people stealing Social Security numbers in order to go to work..it would probably help a whole heck of a lot if they'd stop posting Social Security numbers and names of individuals who have died on the internet for the whole world to see! They're making it way too easy.
I have always voted for the person I feel is best, not the party. Several church members have took me aside to explain how the Democratic party is the responsible for the demoralization of America and how, as Christians, we MUST vote Republican. I don't necessarily agree and still look at the best person.
I do wish we have serious other parties such as Libertarian and Independent.
I know we had much more money in our pockets when Clinton reigned.
It kills me when churches go and promote the Republican party because they say that the Republican party stands more morality and Christianity. Um . . .where do they get this? Lately it seems a Republican senator is getting caught for some homosexual act or being involved in a corrupt scandal plus since when did going to war become moral? Really, when churches say carp like this then I have to wonder about their faith and what they stand for. Also, churches shouldn't be rallying points for political parties unless they want to give up being tax exempt.
But really, both parties have become a joke now. What happen to decent and rational people running for office . . we need a good moderate candidate who truly care for and listens to the American people.
46 Republicans have been caught or left office due to illegal activities in the past 6 years, Democrats? 2. If the numbers don't say it, what will? STOP listening to churches, they believe just cause someone says they are Christian. STOP BEING SHEEPLE!

Have we ever had one of these type people running for office? Not that I can remember anyway..and even if they were honest and caring before they entered office they become corrupt before leaving office. And that goes for State and Local offices also.
i didn't know that churches asked people to vote republican....i know for a fact not all churches do that. I think thats a awful thing to do. Its obvious in these days and times that it is dangerous to put your trust in a candiate for fear that he might do a total reversal of his campaign promises. I do agree on one thing that Senator Obama and Senator Edwards are saying... taking money from corporations puts you in bed with them, it almost makes you obligated to do things in the favor of that corporation.
Senator Clinton is still receiving money from lobbyist as well as a lot of republican canidates...i for one will vote for someone that steers clear of these big business handouts...but they have got to totally get a grip on this illegal immigration thing, if they don't we are going to become The United States of Mexico!!!
i can do that revolution, i wasn't trying to do this incognito...i started out just commenting on other peoples blogs and one day i decided to start blogging myself, to comment on blogs i used this nickname, but to actually start your own blog you have to use your real name.
Personally I have always sided more with the beliefs of the Republican party than those of the Democrats. I was actually beginning to believe there was no hope for either party. I am a conservative, but I do enjoy the rights that Nathan, myself, and millions of others have served our country in the protection of. Some of those rights have been trampled upon by the current administration. I was a fan of GWB when this all first started, now not so much. I'd rather see Jeb in office than W, but we all thought Jeb was a retard. After living in FL for 5 years, I realized he's actually the smarter and more well-grounded of the two. I would love to see a strong Libertarian candidate or a Constitutionalist run and actually have a chance of winning. I am looking at Fred Thompson lately (as I've posted before) because he seems to believe in our Constitution and I think he stands a good chance of winning. If Fred weren't in the campaign, I would probably look at someone like Ron Paul (I'm not one of those nuts that throws his name around all the time). He does seem like he respects our Constitution and has a good head on his shoulders. Unfortunately for Mr. Paul, he is looked upon by the main-stream media as another version of Ralph Nader. He's in the race, but he doesn't stand a snowball's chance in Memphis in August of winning. I know there are many of you on here that prefer to bash anyone with an (R) next to their names, but can any of you HONESTLY say that Hillary Clinton or Barak Obama will actually UPHOLD and DEFEND our Constitution (which is part of the oath of office)? I know Senator Thompson has stated before that he is in favor of letting the states decide for themselves on matters that are not under the onus of the federal government. He's a defender of our second amendment right to bear arms; he has stated that he WILL NOT relinquish ANY American sovereignty, and that he is NOT for bigger government interaction into our daily lives. All I am saying is that we (ALL AMERICANS) should be leery of those that will swear to uphold and defend the Constitution of The United States of America, then get into office and attempt to dismantle it piece by piece...George W. Bush included.
Hmm, I think voting Republican or Democratic, either one, is a crying shame... But since, voting for an independent candidate makes as much since as wearing your shoes inside out... You have two choices.
The last 7 years, isn't soley ONE person's fault, but of course, when the economy was doing great, and there were no wars, that wasn't Clinton's praise, either!
