Well, my original plan -- which I'll still get to, eventually -- is to spend some of my real estate here acting like a blog aggregator, calling your attention to interesting posts from the other bloggers. (After all, I still have my personal blog, Lake Neuron, as a forum some of my own ramblings.)
But the first day of the new Times-Gazette web site has been a busy one; many of our bloggers have been waiting for weeks to get started. In most cases, their first posts were made several days ago, but I asked them to wait and not post a second time until the site went live and people had a chance to read their first posts. So today, when we did actually go live, many of them had second posts that had already been percolating. As a result, there's been a flurry of posting.
You can always see the complete list of bloggers by going to http://www.t-g.com/blogs/ . But the list that appears on the front page of the T-G web site only has room for seven bloggers -- specifically, the seven bloggers who have most recently posted something. It seemed counterproductive for me to take up one of those precious seven spaces for an aggregator post.
But I did want to stop and thank both our community bloggers for their participation and all of the rest of you for reading. Please don't hesitate to comment on individual blog posts; I've been blogging for some time, and I can tell you that feedback is one of the rewards. Agree with them, or disagree with them (in a civil way). Start a discussion. That's the whole purpose of this part of our site.
