Cooper doesn't anticipate role in Obama administration

Political blogger Adam Kleinheider has a blog entry today quoting U.S. Rep. Jim Cooper, a strong supporter of Barack Obama, as saying he is happy where he is and would not be interested in a budget-related appointment if Obama is elected.
Cooper, for those of you too young to remember, used to have his official residence in Shelbyville and represented Bedford County when we were part of the Fourth Congressional District. He left Congress in the mid-1990s for an unsuccessful Senate run, later moving to Nashville and running for Congress again from the Fifth District seat which represents Nashville. |
