Sad news

Many of you have followed Sadie Fowler's columns about her father. I'm sad to report that he passed away over the weekend. We'll have more details on arrangements as they become available.

I'm sure Sadie and her family would appreciate your prayers.

UPDATE: Becky McBee has just informed me that there's an online guest book at kilmerfuneralhome.com at which you can leave messages of condolence. Sadie's father is Daniel Killian.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Eastern time Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at St. Joseph Church, 164 Broadway, Fort Edward, N.Y.

Thanks John. It is never easy to share the news of this type. From what Sadie has written, Mr. Killian fought a brave battle.

It's never easy to lose a loved one, but it seems especially hard to do so during the holidays.
