Dispelling a rumor

Posted Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at 4:33 PM

We've been tracking down an ugly rumor that was making the rounds today about a local tattoo parlor. We've gotten numerous calls about it, but we weren't able to get factual information until this afternoon.

The rumor is false. The tattoo parlor in question has not been the subject of any action by the state health department, and in fact, according to spokesperson Amanda Morris of Tennessee Department of Health, it scored a perfect 100 on its last inspection, in January.

The tattoo shop in question is not the typical "tattoo parlor" that your grandfather might have visited while on liberty in San Diego nor the "outlaw" biker/drug dealing venture that hollywood depicts in it's movies. Tom runs his business like a professional. He cares for his customers and he's a real artist who promotes himself and his skills every time ink hits the skin. His shop is literally clean enough to eat off the floors. To top it all off, he's a good man. The fact that he passed his recent inspection 100% comes as no surprise to those that know him.

Tom and his family are wonderful people. They will help anyone out if they can. Go check out his new shop and see how clean it is always. I wear his work also.I am not just talking this cause I wear his work. I am telling everyone this cause they are really great people. You can go by there and check out his work and see how wonderful it is. He is working on a cross on my son's back and he still has to do the inside of it and he was not sure what to put. But Tom has a wonderful saying he is going to put in the cross.

Thank you for that. Most will not take the time to find the truth of such ugly rumors.

I dont know why anyone would want to hurt anyone's business during this kind of economy but it definitely shows how classless and low the person is who is spreading the rumors.
