Garth Brooks

Posted Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at 3:35 PM

Tickets for the Garth Brooks benefit concert for flood relief, Dec. 17 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, will go on sale Saturday -- but, if you want best shot buying them at a Ticketmaster outlet (such as Kroger in Shelbyville), you must go to that outlet beginning 10 a.m. Thursday and get a numbered wristband.

On Saturday, at each retail outlet, a wristband number will be announced and they will start serving that number. For example, if the wristbands at a particular outlet were numbered 1-100, they might announce that they were starting with number 34. Then they would serve 35, 36, and so on up to 100, then 1, 2, 3 and so on up to 33.

You must be at the outlet with your wristband by 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, or else you will be put in the standby line and will have to wait until all of the wristband customers have been served.

The limit is 8 tickets per customer. The total price of the ticket, including all fees and charges, is $32.50, and you must pay by cash.
