We have asked for this, and asked for it, and asked for it, with no discernible result.
If you are a teacher or work in the front office at a local school, and you submit Santa letters (or anything else) to the newspaper, please, please, please include your first name. Your children may call you "Mrs. Smith"; we can't. Fortunately, we can often look up names at the school's web site, but when we're processing a lot of submissions at once (we have literally hundreds of Santa letters coming in at once this week), that's time we don't have to spare. I have a batch of letters here labeled as "Mrs. Horner's class," and that's even worse -- since there's no grade or school mentioned, I can't even go to the school web site. First names, teachers, please. We're begging you. |
