The ever elusive Sam

Well, first of all I guess I should explain the "Sam the escape artist" story that John pointed out.

Typically, Sam is a pretty decent dog. Not completly normal, but who am I to judge.

About 2 weeks ago, Sam went missing during a thunderstorm.

For 3 days many many people searched for our silly dog. Honestly, I didn't know so many people cared for our "poor little sami", but I truly appreciate it. Just when I was accepting the fact that the dog wasn't going to come home, his head popped up at our back door like he had perfromed some sort of exteneded magic trick. We were so happy to have Sam back at home, but I don't think he really cared to see us at all. He just got a drink of water and ran to the rug to scratch his back.

Two days later, he's gone again. This time, his trip was a short 3 hours.

A week later, (today) I got home from shopping and Sam was nowhere to be found. I didn't worry much this time. I have come to the conclusion that he is either going to come home or he isn't. Forunatly for Sami, a neighbor had rescued him from the thunder and he was safe inside their home. I felt terrible that out dirty brat dog was inside of their house, but I am very thankful that they saw my Sam's lost ad in the T-G from where he ran away the first time.

One might think that my husband or myself would think to clip him to the dog lead in the yard, but that would involve untangeling him from every chair, brick, and flower

pot on our porch.

That darn dog is a headache to handle sometimes but we have had many fun adventures together. Sam is always a good converstation piece. How many dogs do you know that would turn down a piece of steak for an oatmeal raisin cookie?
