Appreciated PrayersPosted Thursday, August 23, 2007, at 9:53 PM
Hello Everyone,
This entry will be a short one, but pretty important to me. A group from my church, Fair Haven Baptist, is on a mission trip to Kenya. They are there overseeing a few water wells and a church that is being built for the people of Homa Bay. This blog is important to me because my grandfather, Wilbert Nelson, is one of the guys on the trip. If you know grandaddy, you know that he's a wild and crazy man. He is fearless and will do anything it takes to serve the Lord and his people. It is on my mind to blog this because of a recent robbery and assault on a church group from Dallas. They were in the same region doing basically the same things that our group is there to do. So, If you pray, please pray for our group to have a safe return from Africa. I'm sure the families of Mike, Lee, Molly, Jennifer, and of course grandaddy would appreciate all of your prayers. Thanks! I haven't been to Homa Bay, but I've been pretty close. Willie's certainly in my prayers.
WE WILL KEEP YOU IN OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS.
Prayers go out to all who do His work.
I know that every time I have been involved in a missions trip it was certainly comforting and invigorating to know that God's people were praying fo us. The best thing you could do for your grandfather is to ask people to pray for him and his group. They have my prayers.
Prayers are definetly with those during the mission trip. I hope all goes well and everyone returns safely.
My prayers are with them as well as their families.
