Falling for FallPosted Monday, September 10, 2007, at 12:48 PM
I am starting to feel fall in the air.
Normally, I do not like fall. The falling leaves and bare trees make me sad. It makes me sad for the long summer days, warm weather, and flowers. However, this year, I do feel a bit different about the seasons change. I think my idea changed last year. I noticed then that I seemed to be more excited about the cooler weather and sweatshirts. This year, I can't wait to get pumpkins and decorate with fall colors. I am so ready; in fact, Ava already has her Halloween costume.
There is something about fall that makes me want to cook more. I love to break out the crock pot and make recipes that have a fall flavor to them. I even bought myself a new crock pot today. I guess I'm getting excited. Fall also reminds me of spending time with our family. We get to travel to east Tennessee to see my husband's parents. They live on the lake and that is the perfect spot to see all of the changing colors. Although it is a little sad, that no one is out in the water playing. So, it's almost football and chili time at the Graves house. I guess it just might be the best Fall yet. Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |

I'm just the opposite. I'm not very fond of orange, yellow, and brown. I guess I even find Fall and Winter depressing. I'm a Spring person. I guess I better get ready for hibernation. Best wishes to you as you enjoy your Fall. :D
I love FALL.. Pleasant weather, no allergies, and that warm-fuzzy feeling when you come home at night. It gets dark early and families tend to get a little closer during this time of year.
I love Thanksgiving the most!!! Nothing like a home-cooked Thanksgiving Meal, and counting all the blessings our lives have encountered. Nice blog!
