UGH!!!!!

Posted Wednesday, November 14, 2007, at 1:49 PM

If you just so happen to be in our neighborhood, whatever you do, DON'T STOP AT OUR HOUSE!

We have this horrendous cold/bronchitis/sore throat/PINK EYE catastrophe going on in our bodies.

Last week, our daughter was the sickest little girl that I have ever seen. My poor little monkey couldn't even take her medicine without it coming right back up. I was very thankful for the doctor that gave her a shot. It was almost instant that she was back to her old playful self.

Saturday Night played out to be a complete nightmare for my husband and myself.

We had planned what was supposed to be a really nice weekend. Darrell's parents had come to visit and keep our daughter while we went to a wedding. I was so excited to get dressed up and go to a wedding. Ava was going to get to spend some quality one on one time with her grandparents and Darrell and I were going to get to enjoy adult conversations. Heck, maybe we were going to talk to each other. We don't get to talk about much these days. Unless of course it's interrupted with " I waaannna watch Shrick (Shrek) again."

Well, So much for that idea...

We did manage to get dressed and go to the wedding. Once we arrived at the reception, we both had to admit to one another that we were sick and needed to go home. I was achy, he was achy, my right eye was almost swollen shut and leaking some sort of sick goo.

On the way home from the reception, we stopped at Walgreens to stock up on any and every medication that we could get our germy little paws on. We proceeded to come home, sit on the couch and shake.

Fast forward to today and I am sitting here in my living room wearing sunglasses. The pink eye had turned into red fiery devil eye and Darrell is passed out on the couch beside me. Ava has been sent to a safe germ free undisclosed location so we can recover in peace.

So, I must apologize to everyone that we might have touched, breathed on, or even looked at for that matter. I hope I didn't give you Pink Eye!

I hope your sure its pink eye! If you get a really bad headach and your eye swells you better get to the Dr. My SS spent a week in the hospital with what started out looking like pink eye and ended up being the result of a sinus infection that went into the eye socket. He never complained about anything until his eye turned red and his head started hurting!

Hope everyone feels better soon!

If it is pink eye you need to go to the dr and get some meds for it. If untreated you could go blind, eventually. Pink eye is making it's circles though. My son had it this week.

Sometimes we have to be careful what we wish for or at least be more specific.. After all it does sound like you & hubby got some quiet time alone together :)

Hope ya'll get that date night soon and hope ya'll get to feeling better even sooner :)

Yes, we did get quiet time alone together. Throw in 102 temps for each of us and sore throats. It was a blast.
