Really? Are gays allowed too? I've got about 100 friends who want to go.

Despite your efforts to prove to the community that you do not HATE homosexuals (you've stated before it is the ACT in which you despise) and despite your efforts to write a single blog without the attacks of commenters, I think it was a very nice blog.

weezie... i am sure that person was just joking.. calm down before you rupture a blood vessel

someone was trying to bring a little humor into the conversation, i suppose. ask them?

-- Posted by darrick_04 on Wed, Aug 15, 2007, at 11:18 AM

oh and he has three blogs that nobody 'attacked'...

-- Posted by darrick_04 on Wed, Aug 15, 2007, at 11:21 AM

Dang Weezie84..chill out....wow, you take everything WAYYY to personally. I think it is a good thing he is doing, jesuslovesevry1 was just asking a simple question..which, as far as I can tell NEVER got a reply. hmmmm...silence speaks a 1,000 words...

Vindicated said: which, as far as I can tell NEVER got a reply. hmmmm...silence speaks a 1,000 words...

Perhaps he felt the content of the question did not DESERVE a reply.

And what would be your reasoning as to why the question didn't deserve an answer? The question was simple and honest....

-- Posted by Vindicated on Wed, Aug 15, 2007, at 1:00 PM

My reasoning would be that everyone regardless of race, creed, sexual orientation, religion and whatever else one can think of that causes divisions amongst people, would be welcome. Of course this is assuming that anyone that would come to one of these types of things would know the proper way to act at just such a gathering...need I go into further detail?

So you're telling me certain orientations and certain races act in a standard way?

That is ridiculous!

-- Posted by nascarfanatic on Wed, Aug 15, 2007, at 1:17 PM

I'm saying that if one does not know the meaning of "disorderly conduct", then someone might report them if they don't know how to act at gatherings. The resulting court process will educate one on this type of behavior.

It's funny how that has nothing to do with the question at hand.

-- Posted by nascarfanatic on Wed, Aug 15, 2007, at 1:25 PM

So only white straight christians know how to act properly in church functions? hmmmm..I have some black friends that would love to disagree. How racist and homophobic can you possibly be? What does "disorderly conduct" have to do with race, creed, sexuality, or religion. You all claim to be sick of the arguments of religion but you never stop bringing it up and then you keep bringing up accusations teetering on the brink of ignorance and expect noone to respond back. I also find it humerous that people have to mention religion in order to get a comment on their blog or to go around talking about others and their beliefs on blogs that do not pertain to religion in any shape, form or fashion. You say you don't like the drama, yet you keep stirring the pot. We all know who you are referring to, you are referring to me, Stolen25, jesuslovesevry1, nascarfanatic, darrick_04, I would appreciate if you are going to talk about me and them please atleast say our name and not hide behind your monitor.

K? thnx....

Don't know...Don't care how certain orientations or races act. I only know if ANYONE does not know how to act in public, then there are consequences to those actions.

Thank you so much for taking up for me Vindicated. I read the blogs on a daily basis and for some reason I get the feeling that I keep being talked about and called a flamer. and now I am being accused of having no manners or common sense..that is real mature.

-- Posted by stolen25 on Wed, Aug 15, 2007, at 1:34 PM

I understand you are referring to everyone in general knowing how to act... But why would you even think that the intentions of a group of people showing up to help with the fundraiser, would be to start trouble?

It should have never been a thought, which leads me to think that you feel someone wanted to show up to start trouble based on their minority status.

That's all I have to say about this blog, until the owner of it answers my question. Because it's funny how my family attends the same church he does, and he doesn't even know it!

-- Posted by nascarfanatic on Wed, Aug 15, 2007, at 1:41 PM

nascarfanatic why would someone even ask the original reply? Did the invitation list any certain group of people that were not welcome? Personally I have no idea what one thinks when they go to these things...I only know what my intentions are and I don't presume to know what anyone else's intentions are.

There isn't a specific group welcome, they want the whole community to attend...

But just by reading everything else he has started topics about I figured I would ask, if gays were allowed. I wished he'd answer his own blogs though.

-- Posted by jesuslovesevery1 on Wed, Aug 15, 2007, at 1:56 PM

Guys, it's my fault we have once again caused an uproar in a single blog. I took the first comment the wrong way, simply because I read the blog as an invitation to ALL, and it seemed to me that the one who responded with, "Really? Are gays allowed too? I've got about 100 friends who want to go." was just asking for another battle between what Micheal believes in and what the homosexuals on here are ready to defend. I took the comment completely the wrong way, I guess, and I'm sure that Micheal meant the blog to be for everyone, including homosexuals, and yes, it would help if he would answer this for himself. Just like many of you don't agree with what Micheal believes in as far as religion goes, many people like Micheal don't believe in the way that homosexuality is being presented to the world. Just keep that in mind, the door swings both ways.

I was asking a simple question, just like anything else in life people interpret how they want to. I asked yesterday and I have no response. But I'll just ask my family that goes to his church if my friends are truly welcome.

I honestly had no other thoughts, if you wanted the topic to be left alone, you'd let him answer the question and stop adding fuel to the fire.

weezie said "was just asking for another battle between what Micheal believes in and what the homosexuals on here are ready to defend"

I'll have you know everyone who defends homosexuals are not homosexuals themselves. There are some of us "normal" straight people who actually believe it is EVERY American's right to control their own life without interference from government or religion.

-- Posted by Dianatn on Wed, Aug 15, 2007, at 2:54 PM

Well I love Jesus! LOL! And homosexuals...

-- Posted by jesuslovesevery1 on Wed, Aug 15, 2007, at 3:17 PM

Whatever race creed sexual orientation is invited. This is what I am talking about though a simple fundraiser for children and we see who makes the big thing about it.I have not responded ,because I have been pulling a lot of hours and have not felt good .Don't think you got one on me because you haven't.As long as you [whoever you are acts civil nothing will be said ,act up or show out then I don't know.
