BIGOT, INTOLERANT HYPOCRITE AND OTHER NAMESPosted Sunday, August 26, 2007, at 6:43 AM
As I go back and reread some of my blogs and their comments I am either called one of these names or I appear to myself to be one. We are all one or the other if we really are honest with ourselves. Christian's speak against divorce yet the rate is as high if not higher among so - called Christian's. We talk against porn yet when there is a Christian convention or group in town , the buy rate of porno at hotels and motels double. Pastors wives are shooting them , just this week a big name evangelist and her husband who is a Bishop in her church met to reconcile their marriage and then he started beating the crap out of her. Nobody is or should not be tolerant of everything , who out there is tolerant of what Michael Vick did to those dogs? People driving though your neighborhood after dark with the stereos blaring, illegal immigrants working and living here tax-free. People with government assistance who clearly don't need it while the ones who work live and die in this town can't get help of any kind. Unless you are a programmed robot taught what to think and what to say you will tick somebody off with your words or actions. As a man who follows the teachings of Jesus Christ I am reminded of a verse which I will paraphrase "don't hang out with the sexually immoral , idolatry and all the other kind of sinners if they are your brothers and sisters Christ If you profess to be a Christian and live as the world then I have a right to scold you or you me, if you are of the world , then you don't know better. It is up to us [BIBLE BELIEVERS]to show the lost and the ones who have never discovered the saving grace of Jesus Christ that there is hope and to the ones who have lost it , help them find it again. If I slip, I have several brother's and sisters who will grab me up and talk to me in a loving way. So if I come of as one of these name that I mentioned so be it I will face that judgment myself. We all will face that judgment someday, only by the water and the blood will my slate be clean , how about yours? BE BLESSED!

Uh... ok
-Shoot I forgot to say HYPOCRIT is spelled 'HYPOCRITE'...
No name calling is necessary, and I have refrained from that for quite a while.
Porn-I would think the porn thing and Christian conventions being related should be factual before you say something like that. I mean I believe you that it could be true, but try not to say it as if that is always the case when it probably isn't..
Pastors-Not all pastors wive's are shooting them either.
Jesus- If Jesus only hung out with Christians and holy people, then what would his purpose had been? I agree Jesus may have been perfect, but God didn't send him here to hang out with the holy and righteous people, he sent him here to hang out with thugs, theives, and idolators, all in the name of saving grace. Seriously, what would have been special about Jesus if he prayed and sought the hearts of those who were already like him?
-Lastly.. About the name-calling, I am guilty as are others. I'm not perfect, I do not wish to call you names.... My purpose and many other's purposes are to reconcile our opinions, because faith is phenomenal... everybody has faith to some degree but faith is weak when you don't support your beliefs with evidence... Side note: Hope you have a great week.
With fact it would not be faith. I can't prove the hereafter ,only have faith in it. I can't prove salvation , only have faith in it. I can't prove the "born of a virgin , water walking ,5000 feeding , miracle working, death defying sun tanned Nazarene did what the Bible says he did , just have faith in it. Have a great day!
Actually I can totally relate to what Michael is saying. I can preach about doing what is right, but behind clothes doors, (especially my closet) I am still the Evil Monkey.
If you are offended by this... then you don't know the joke.
I am so evil, I even spelt Close as Clothes....
hhhmmmm. This is a tough one. We quit going to our church when our preacher used the pulpit to tell us to vote for Bush. Apparently, ours wasn't the only one. We've since tried MANY churches. Still haven't found one we all like. Churches used to be nice humble places but now they make sure you understand the tithe portion of the Bible real quick. The music in not all but alot is thru speakers now and its like an American Idol contest. This is for the youth they say but if ya didn't know it was at church, you sure wouldn't recognize it as Christian music. Some think they have to prove that God has blessed them so they must drive their Sunday only Cadillac or equivalent. We can't find a church that makes us feel good! It seems we leave feeling bad about ourselves. That is a shame since there are over 100 churches in Bedford Co. We have Bible discussion or try too on Wed nites and on Sunday (its easier in Winter) but we aren't members of a church. So, does this make us sinners or Christians? or hypocrites?
I have read this guy's inane dribble for the last time.
What if he blogged and nobody came? I for one, no longer will.
I can't get to the content of your blog messages because there is no break. Have you EVER heard of spaces between sentences and paragraphs?
Actually, he probably typed into a text program (word, works, etc.) and pasted it into this blog's text field.
Out of curiosity, how does one become an official t-g blogger?
if words could kill, we'd all be dead, but thank GOD they have no impact other than what we, ourselves, give them. Keep your head up, and no matter what anyone says about you or your beliefs, you continue believing. Stand out, and make a difference.
haha rebel4ever37 and loveretirment...
Agreed.
The difference between you and most people, is that we already believe in god so we don't need you to prove anything... just validate why you start spitting out gumbled THOUGHTS and speak as if it is the case for all instances (like the porn and christian conventions, it's pure absurdity)...
-Most of the events in the bible is fiction, it is all faith....
-The Earth wasn't created in 7 days
-Noah's ark didn't contain all 10,000,000,000 species... RIDICULOUS
-In the Bible tale of The Exodus the phrase yam suph (or y'am Suf) refers to the body of water that the children of Israel crossed following their exodus from Egypt, and was just recently discovered to be the correct translation of Yam suf, instead of Red Sea, which is very close by.
REED SEA not 'Red' Sea
-No evidence of Moses, outside the Bible
(You don't spend 40 years in the desert and leave NO archaelogical evidence)
-There were multiple Messiah's in those days, one was named 'Apollonious of Tyana'.. .Just simply research him.
-Read Exodus 21:7, 35:2
-1 Corinthians 11:14, 19:27
-Leviticus 18:22, 20:9-21
Most of these we don't believe OH OH OH except that one, yeah it's about the only one we still think has to be true.. right. Can we guess which one that is?
I think I read something about that recently, Was that the same book, Oh wait I think that was a documentary on the books that weren't included in the modern day Bible, Wasn't that the one about Adam's first wife, Lilith?
Opinion:
Now this might start some canon <=(pun intended) fodder, but I honestly can't believe the Bible was ever touched/changed or had books removed/added to suit the Roman Christians around the 3rd Century, it has been documented numerous times.
Basically, You had to have faith that God is in fact real... Look around at all the miracles, hard not to believe.
I will take my faith over your fact any day, for the Bible says
"the just shall live by faith" The reason I start these conversations is because I can , it's my blog. All the animals come from one breed or kind. Man messed that up to for God said to bring forth of your own kind , not mixed ,[animals]and last time I checked only the union of ONE MAN and ONE WOMAN can do that. I do research the other books that were not in the Bible ,and I think some should of been left in there , I study the Bible as a whole and go from there. The porn and Christian's remark came from a couple of close friends of mine who researched it and found it out for me. I have a friend who owns a chain of video stores and he has told me that several card carrying Christians rent porn .Even the church itself has admitted that its members have a porn addiction because they think it is a harmless form of entertainment. A s long as they aren't looking at real people in the act , they don't see the harm in it ,they use it to "spice things up. " You believe in all facts you want to and all the science and I will keep my faith as small as the mustard seed and we will see in the END TIMES, which is close than you think , who is on the other side and who isn't. LIKE I SAID "MY BLOGS , MY THOUGHTS , ENJOY THEM OR HATE THEM THAT IS UP TO YOU , Have a nice day! All these laws you keep throwing out were given to show the sinful nature of man so he would need a SAVIOUR ,unless you are perfect and don't need one. There is no 1 Corinth19:27. Even without the Bible I would have faith in a Higher Power!
It in completely unecessary for people to continuously point out the "scientific facts" about their way of believing that parts of the bible is not real and did not happen. It's making me sick, that we live in a world now, where homosexuals can fight for their "rights" to become "equal", however, it's getting harder and harder for people to "fight" for their way of believing? How ludacris is that? To point out, homosexuals shouldn't have to fight for the rights, because it's a sexual orientation, and it shouldn't matter anyways to the general population. Just as people have different religions and beliefs, it shouldn't matter to the next person what they are believing.
"The difference between you and most people, is that we already believe in god so we don't need you to prove anything"
When people write this, then follow it with explanations recent scientist have given them, it does create doubt and it will create a mess to be proven.
So why not just stop? Just post your opinion and be done with it?
Nobody's breathing down YOUR neck trying to force you to believe homosexuals isn't right....oh wait, GOD is, but you don't believe that part of the bible right?

Homosexuality may refer to:* A sexual orientation characterized by aesthetic attraction, romantic love, and sexual desire exclusively or almost exclusively for members of the same sex or gender identity.* Sexual relations with another of the same sex or gender regardless of sexual orientation or self-identification.* A sexual identity or self-identification, which may or may not imply exclusively homosexual behavior or attraction.
A homosexual is not, in fact, a person born gay.
Is There a "Gay Gene"?
Many laymen now believe that homosexuality is part of who a person really is from the moment of conception.
The "genetic and unchangeable" theory has been actively promoted by gay activists and the popular media. Is homosexuality really an inborn and normal variant of human nature?
No. There is no evidence that shows that homosexuality is simply "genetic." And none of the research claims there is. Only the press and certain researchers do, when speaking in sound bites to the public.
How The Public Was Misled
In July of 1993, the prestigious research journal Science published a study by Dean Hamer which claims that there might be a gene for homosexuality. Research seemed to be on the verge of proving that homosexuality is innate, genetic and therefore unchangeablea normal variant of human nature.
Soon afterward, National Public Radio trumpeted those findings. Newsweek ran the cover story, "Gay Gene?" The Wall Street Journal announced, "Research Points Toward a Gay Gene...Normal Variation."
Of course, certain necessary qualifiers were added within those news stories. But only an expert knew what those qualifiers meant. The vast majority of readers were urged to believe that homosexuals had been proven to be "born that way."
In order to grasp what is really going on, one needs to understand some littleknown facts about behavioral genetics. -http://www.narth.com/docs/istheregene.html
Hey, revolution, the difference in my sins and those of the homosexuals, is that I actually admit to my sins, and are fully aware of the sins I've committed, therefore, as long as I don't repeat that sin, I can be forgiven. Homosexuals seem to live in a fantasy world where they want to believe that it's okay to be a homosexual. I was just plainly giving out the "Factual points" to back up my opinions, those in which stating that a person is not born gay.
You are right, I brought up homosexuality, but let's not pretend like no one was going to bring it up anyways.
Revolution, I think what weezie84 was doing was bombarding you with facts. Similar to the way most of Michaels blogs go.
After reading many of these blogs for several weeks, I am extremely curious.
Is it just me or does every blog seem to turn into a debate over homosexuality? You could write about the problems with the horseshow, but somehow the discussion would turn into a debate over homosexuality.
I am confused because this is the blog system for a newspaper, correct?
On a final note, I DO agree 100 percent with one statement: Mr. Bell, would you please do us a favor and use the "paragraph system" of writing?
It is extremely difficult reading your blog when everything is in one huge paragraph.
Thanks!
The only person that brought all that up was you weezie84. and those scientific facts that you say I am using came from the very source that you sent me to. Penn and Teller. So now you only believe half of what they say is right? Why would you send anybody to their site if you are going to refute the facts that they give? I believe the word I am looking for is HYPOCRITE. with an "E" Gotta go back to work now, see ya.
I have to agree, I think that Weezie84 is just a tad bit obsessed with homosexuality. It wasn't brought up but yet she LOVES talking about it so much, perhaps it is her way of coming out ;P
I have FAITH that one day we will have a blog that doesn't bring up homosexuality. Sounds good to me.
hahahahaha..good one Vindicated
Thanks, I try ;)
Revolution, now you can no longer say that Weezie84 doesn't think thoroughly before posting comments. This time she did, it may have not been the comment you (or anyone) were looking for but it was a thoroughly thought out comment nonetheless. Her opinion nonetheless.
Granted, that I did, in fact, bring up homosexuality, in this blog- During the recent blogging of this website, however, I've found that homosexuality seems to bring more contraversy and more arguments than the bible, itself. I don't know why, and although my opinions contradict themselves, alot, please know that I do not look down on any homosexual...with saying that, they are people, just like any other person in the world today. But, it's important to me, to point out what homosexuality is, exactly-a sexual orientation, so therefore, I don't believe that a person is born gay, however, on that same note, I don't hate nor dislike a person who is gay. I do, believe it is a sin, much like sins of my own (premaritial sex, etc), but it confuses me when homosexuals try to fight for their rights on this subject, when in fact, they don't seem to believe it is a sin. GOD does love every single one of us, regardless of what we have done, regardless of what we are taught(or aren't taught, to those who never hear about GOD or Jesus)...and he does forgive. Just as I do not believe everything in the bible to be taken literal, neither do I believe everything that Penn and Teller has to say to be taken literal. It is JUST my opinion. Although, it may come across to alot of you as I'm only trying to stur up arguments, that's not the case. I never told anyone to go to a website, only stated that people should watch Penn and Teller, it is a good show that brings up very good points on many topics. It isn't fair to state that it's always me that brings up homosexuality, but if it fits to your justification, I'll take the blame. I am curious, however, to learn more about Revolution's children being brought up Catholic and Jewish, and please don't take that as a sarcastic comment, because I am seriously curious about it. I believe that when it comes to the bible, religion, and homosexuality; we are never going to get a straight answer, we are never going to hear the "right and wrong" to it, because those are topics that just seem to ride the fenceline.
Revolution, that is very possible. However, let me just point out that you took that bait. As did a few others on here. Somehow in the end of all the arguments (debates) that start up between Weezie84, yourself, Stolen25 and Vindicated you seem to be the last one left. It's never too late to let someone else argue! :) Im not saying that you shouldn't argue Im just saying that all those times you posted comments to get her to reply to you, well she has beat you at your own game. You're allowing this.
sambntn: She hasn't beaten anyone at their own game, I am here and not silent at all. and personally I don't care if she replies to me, I am sick of her inane dribble.
Never fear Rev. We aren't far behind you. Thanks for the call :) This gets more insane as it goes. Silly girl, we aren't silent, we are just sitting back and reading and watching Penn and Teller. THANKS FOR POINTING US TO THE SITE.
weezie84
"although my opinions contradict themselves, alot,"
AMEN JESUS...SHE FINALLY SPOKE THE TRUTH
I am just wondering how this always gets off of topic. I might as well put my 2 cents in. I don't mind if homosexuals want to get married, they don't hurt my marriage any. I think they should get all the rights that ANY american should get. END OF STORY
JMHO
No, I'm not saying that homosexuals don't deserve rights, because all people, regardless of their sexual orientation, should be treated the same. I guess what I am trying to say, is why should gay people HAVE to fight for their rights, they should already have any and all rights, just like heterosexuals. I am saying, that homosexuality is a sin, and it can be forgiven just like my sins. What I meant to say about Catholicism and Judaism, is that I don't understand those religions that well, and was asking if you could tell me more about them, because I am interested. The battle for homosexuals to get equal rights like that of heterosexuals, just seems like it should never be in the first place, because they should be treated just like heterosexuals. People are going to disagree against the sin, but it's not the person they are fighting against, it's only the sin. And vindicated, I've spoke the truth since day one on this website. I know I contradict myself alot, and I know my opinions are not always correct, but they are just opinions, and I know I'm wrong sometimes. But, I'm always willing to admit it.
oh yeah, james48, I'm the reason this blog went off topic.
weezie84:
You say that they shouldn't have to fight for their rights, but honey you are living under a rock if you think that they have any rights. My brother and his partner have been together 20 years, longer than most marriages, and at first I was appalled like you seem to be, but I realized they loved each other and it wasn't hurting me. They live together, bought a house together, take in foster children and split all bills, yet if neither can put the other on his insurance and if one gets sick the other has no say. That is not right. If one dies, the other has no say in any of the arrangements and could very well lose the home that they bought. Yet heterosexual couples that live in sin have all the same rights because "he or she was a loving companion" and they are entitled to make the decisions in times of death or emergency. You should really get some age on you before you start making such comments. I am a 48 year old married man and I love knowing that all the SS that I paid in will go to my family if something happens to me. My brother can't say the same and it's not fair. So yes they do need some changes in the laws on that topic. Whether it is a sin or not doesn't matter. They love each other and in the end that is all GOD cares about. Just wait until you meet him and then you will know.
JMHO
James,
I honestly didn't know that is the way it is. Now, I can say I understand just exactly what it is they are fighting for. It's a shame that people are looking at a homosexual couple as if they are not good enough, or whatever the circumstances may be, to be treated the same as heterosexuals. I really didn't know..but thank you for the information. I have a better understanding.
That is what we have been trying to say all along...
Thanks James48 for helping someone realize it isn't about a special right, it is simply NORMAL, EVERYDAY, HUMAN RIGHTS...
But back to the blog, Michael... You disappeared, I'm not surprised. How is your week going? Have you ran into any sinners?
I would like to invite "countrymom" to travel out hwy.82S and visit us at Himesville Church of the Nazarene. I believe we might just be what you are looking for in a church.
I have been working a lot ,I haven't run off don't worry about that.
Last thing... I noticed you edited the title... Nice job!
Thom would love that!
BIGOT, INTOLERANT HYPOCRITE AND OTHER NAMES
Personally I never use any of those names...well of course, unless the shoe fits.
My Grandma always said "Honey Child, if the shoe fits you might as well go ahead and wear it"
I think that pretty much goes for name calling too.
