As the silly season approaches don't forget the less fortunate who don't have the joys and basics that most of us have.

Thanksgiving originally was a day of fasting and prayer in the colonies, it has changed quiet a bit , but it is still my second favorite day of the year next to Easter yes Christmas is third because of all the commercialism that goes with it.

I myself have remembered the true meaning of Thanksgiving in recent years and will spend part of my day taking dinner to the less fortunate, a truly heartwarming and a humble experience.

To know that so many people in our own community have it so hard is a real wake up call.

Remember who to give thanks to and where all the blessings come from.

On the trip to the Appalachians , we are planning on going the second weekend in December, if you can please help.
