I used to make resolutions every New Years Day and failed at every one.I would make one to quit drinking and be drunk the next weekend , to lose weight and gain 10 lbs. by July.

Countless others failed because they were made in the flesh which I can do nothing on my own.

Since I let the Lord make my decisions for me I have been dry for over 2 years now and will stay that way, I am not gaining [ not losing either]weight which is my own doing.

I have become a better husband , father and friend, but most of all a better man of God which is the reason that all else falls into place.

God always have been a part of my life , but only when I wanted him to be I would go visit on Christmas and Easter and a ocassional time here or there and would pick a bible up every now and then , but in the last 3 years I can't get eneough of him.

I am studying everyday , I am taking some online classes in Hebrew to get to the Jewish roots of my faith.

I witness to whoever I can ,I am no longer trying to fit in the norm ,I call it as I see it , if it offends so be it.

I am not judging the person only the things they do especially the ones who claim to be Christians.

2007 was a rough year but God stuck with me as I go through 2008 I hope to do some preaching inside a church which I hope will lead to a full time preaching job somewhere. That is my goal[resolution] for 2008.

No seminary school, no college no being taught man's ways of interpetations, just what the Holy Spirit leads me to say.

We are creeping ever closer to the famous year of 2012 where a lot of people both ancient and present predicts the end of the world or at least a major change in it.

I for one will be watching Israel for she is God's timepiece for I believe his countdown started on Sept.11 2001 and she is still ticking.

I will look to the clouds and watch for the Coming of the Son to take his children home. Many of them will be martyred which I will lay down my life for him as he did for me.

It happens in other countries and will soon be world wide.

Be smart the New Year's Day don't drink , but if you do don't drive.

Make 2008 as great as you possibly can and those that don't know the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ you never know when you might take your last breath ,Why Wait seek him now and secure your place in eternity.

Be Blessed in Yeshua's [Jesus] precious name Amen!

Man can look at the future and expect it to be one big,candy-coated party.

He can look at the days to come and see nothing but hate and desolation.

Much of the end times will be just like all our other days: part joy, part despair, part endings, part beginings...

When our individual lives end,we could be caught up in a Rapture, perish in a horrific battle or pass away in our sleep.

We can work for preparedness and vigilance for whatever comes-good or bad.

But,we can't hold our breaths waiting for a destiny we special ordered.

God might have something else in mind.

We are to look to the future and live in today so that we don't miss any of the journey on the way to our destination.

It is God who holds the future-not us and not any foe.

When we see the flood waters rise,we must be ready to find safety, secure all we need and endure the storms to come.

But,we need to build our ark AND pack tools for our garden.

He who governs the rain will also give us a mountaintop for our flowers.

"Since I let the Lord make my decisions for me I have been dry for over 2 years now and will stay that way, I am not gaining [ not losing either]weight which is my own doing."

The lord doesn't make decisions for you, he actually just makes it more clear to you the right choice, then it's up to you to make it...

So, what are some resolutions you have quit trying to achieve?
