Remember the Sabbath day

Posted Saturday, January 12, 2008, at 9:36 AM

Ex 20:8]

Sabbath means rest, but God intended for this day to be more than an absence from work . It was to be a day of worship as well- a day for setting aside all thoughts of materialistic gain and thinking of him.

God set the pattern himself in the creation of the world.

Why do today's Christians fuss about which day if you want to worship on Saturday or Sunday either one is fine for Paul said to not fuss on days.

Take one day a week and reflect on what God has done for you.

Personally I do this everyday and use Sunday to go and worship and praise him.

Jesus said that man was not for the sabbath but sabbath was for the man . He knew that we needed rest to revive our senses and to reflect on his abundant grace and mercy and blessings.

This has become one of the stumbling blocks between the Jewish and Christian faiths we should learn to accept each others way of worship and await the arrival of the Messiah together.

The first four cammandments are sins against God and our actions toward him and hurt nobody but ourselves the next 5 are sins against our fellow man which we will discuss next.

There are things that have to be done on Sunday. We also have to prepare meals. You are not going to go the whole day Sunday without eating.I like the comment about the preacher micheal,he's leading the lost to salvation.Of course Jesus is the one saving.
