This was mistranslated from thou shall not murder.
Murder is premeditated and planned which is against God's law, killing in self-defense or in the line of war I do not believe God would judge the same. I believe in case of your life or your families life versus someones elses the carnal instinct to survive would take over. Then you and God will settle up in the end.
Even in wars in the Bible God used his warriors to do his bidding.
For all the ones in war or going to war seek Jesus and accept him as your savior and he will guide you through these trying times.
Abortion in case of death to the mother would not be wrong all else I consider killing.
But Jesus provides forgiveness for all who accept it!
After these sets of blogs are done I have a big announcement to make!
Some will like it and some won't I am sure.

Well neither will I sit here and be silent while people are saying things about our "God". If I don't stand up for God and what I believe, then I will have to answer for that someday.I will not bury my head in the sand when God wants me to have a voice and fight for him. That's why things have gone wrong today in the world because christians allow things to happen when we should stand up for him.Maybe you should let go of that church pew and give your life to Him since you say just because you go to church doesn't mean your saved. No it doesn't mean that, but I'd hate to think that I went to church to hear The Word and not experience the Holy Spirit. The bible says to know you are saved! I do!! I know that with all my heart and I will continue to talk about Him no matter what.
Excuse me.Thank you for clearing all that up for me.I'm sure your fingers are tired from all that typing.I will listen to you and agree with everything you just said. You're so smart and we're all so dumb. How did you come to know your great wisdom. Is that what you want to hear? God is maker and creator of all ,and he will have the last word.I don't know alot and I can admit that, but I do know God and his son Jesus, and I get to spend eternity with Him.If you don't believe why are you even on this blog? Maybe God is leading you. Did you say you go to church?

Yup I do go to church.. But just becuase I go to church doesn't mean I am saved... Just because I go to church doesn't mean I am supposed to turn a blind eye to the pure destruction that our government is causing... Just becuase I go to church doesn't mean I ignore parts of the country that have been RAVAGED by natural disasters, and we have NO national guard to quickly help them, because they are in other countries fighting for you and me to fuel our cars up.. That's the ONLY freedom they are fighting for christiangirl.. There is a difference in saying you are a christian, like your name, and actually being one... A TRUE ONE! A true christian wouldn't bury their head in the sand and only care about their own needs, they would feed the hungry, clothe the naked, take care of the sick, and other kind things.
And you are right, god is leading me to be one of the many voices who are tired of a corrupt government who tells us to ONLY FOCUS on foreign countries, using propaganda to scare us all, while they UNDO us piece by piece... Hitler said, "What good fortune for government, that the people do not think."- So yeah, unlike many other nations in previous history, I won't stand here and be silent while atrocity after atrocity happens around the world and in our own back yard.. The last time people remained silent when they KNEW the government was corrupt, 6 million people died... You live in your world, and I'll live in mine. You will be another sheep that the wolves are silently slaughtering.

Wow, did God tell you to say that? Isn't that sinful? You are so christian I want to be like you.
AMEN darrick!!

what!!! LOL your statement has many flaws...
I dunno about nascarfanatic but I will say this much.
The "terrorists" you speak of came mostly from SAUDI ARABIA, but have we ever dismantled their regime? Have we ever considered going after the sourcs in the RIGHT COUNTRY? NOPE, Iraq had NOTHING TO DO with the destruction of 9/11, our government and a few radical extremists from Saudi Arabia did though.
"Going over there to stop terrorism to save innocent lives is a very good thing."-- Those lives over there were innocent and are not in need of our troops. Iraq was not a terrorists nation UNTIL WE BEGIN the invasion [ILLEGALLY] Martin Luther King said it best, "WARS ARE POOR CHISELS FOR CARVING OUT PEACEFUL TOMORROWS"... we are taking just as many lives as we are saving in Iraq, so what's your point?
"They are the ones planting bombs not Americans" -- IF CHINA OR NORTH KOREA came flying over head and landed their men in your neighborhood don't think for ONE SECOND you'd sit their peacefully, you'd plant bombs too, just like our own Army did in the 1700s when Great Britain invaded us... It's human nature to defend yourself, don't be surprised that they are.
"You are FREE today because brave men made that happen. You must be living in a bubble to not know what these people did to us.Maybe you will vote for Barak Obama and not pledge allegiance to the flag and be proud of God's country."
--There isn't a single soldier in Iraq who made me free thank you very much.. The founding fathers of this nation made me free. I am not voting for Barack Obama either, I am voting for Ron Paul [the only candidate who knows what the Constitution is, and believes in it]
Lastly, you are sadly mistaken if you think this is "God's country"... A country where the president and members or Congress LIE to go to war, then tell us that "god told him to start a war" .. A country whose citizens are told they're free, yet there are so many unecessary laws and regulations preventing many people from actually being free. A country where corporate greed and the bottom line has replaced serving human kind and caring for the customer. A country where our leaders give themselves raises, but neglect to do the same for the peopl who gave them the power. A country where we think it's ok to torture people so long as they are terrorists. A country where preachers, teachers, and parents molest children, beat children, and kill others... A country where its prisoners get FREE HEALTHCARE and FREE FOOD, yet the one's who pay the taxes get pissed on.... God's country huh? Please mention in the Bible where the United States of America is even mentioned, nuch less said to be "god's country"... I think the sad thing is, that bubble you live in is so filled with the things I just described that it has become normal to you.
what!!!,
You seriously need to educate yourself before making any more comments regarding the war in Iraq. Iraq had absolutely nothing to do with the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and that has been well documented. Maybe YOU have been living in a bubble the last few years.
Hello? where have you been in the past few years? Iraq did have something to do with our country.Their terrorist came over"September 11th"and killed thousands of our people. So going over there to stop terrorism to save innocent lives is a very good thing. They are the ones planting bombs. Not Americans. You are FREE today because brave men made that happen. You must be living in a bubble to not know what these people did to us.Maybe you will vote for Barak Obama and not pledge allegiance to the flag and be proud of God's country.
Let's wake up and quit killing people in other countries too... Killing, in self defense may be ok... I am sorry, but what did Iraq do to this country? Nobody has EVER been able to answer that. Because they didn't do anything. Btw abortion is no more sinful than mass murder under the cloak of war.
Oh as far as abortion is concerned,It is WRONG! So many times people try to play God. Don't kill the baby to save the mother. How about praying to God about it and believing he will help both baby and mother.People are doubting God is going to be there to save the mother that they are taking matters into their own hands.Lets wake up people and quit killing babies.(murderers)
You know if you have the holy spirit within you ,he will translate the bible for you. That's why non-christians say they don't understand the bible. It's because you don't have the holy spirit guiding you.Ask God ,he'll help you understand what it is you question.Murdering ,killing, whatever it may be ,don't do it.If you do it out of self defense I believe God will know and understand.Think about David and Goliath.God was with him while he killed the giant.
So what about terrorists who kill? Then a government that reacts with more killing? Both in the name of their respective gods...?
That's a no-win situation, hhhmmm. If Michael didn't use "I," he'd be accused of trying to speak for God. I think it's appropriate to say "Here is what I believe the scripture is saying," which is how I normally read it when someone speaks in the first person in a context like this.
The Bible is a complex book, and almost any important passage of it requires us to make some decisions about how we're going to translate, read, interpret and apply it. Different groups differ in how they balance personal belief, church tradition, and the instructions of the leadership or hierarchy as determining factors in this process. That's why there are so many different denominations.
I'm not a universalist and I would like to think that there is a right answer to any theological question. I do not believe you can design your own faith; I believe we are answerable to God's truth. But I'm not so bold as to claim that I have all of the right answers in my knapsack. So if I were to express an opinion on some theological issue, I'd doubtless precede it with "Here's what I believe about such-and-such," not because my belief in something makes it true, but as a disclaimer.
There are alot of "I" statements in here. Isn't that called dogma? What MAN says that God says? hhhmmm...
The bible had death sentences for the ones who broke the law.
I for one believe if the penalties were stricter for law breakers such as only the bare necessities and even chain gangs back and whatever the sentence ,serve it no early parole.
Since we don't have any of that then if found guilty by your peers of a crime that deserves death so be it the punished and God will settle up then.
If you are your your family were in a situation where it was you or somebody trying to kill you ,I think the choice would be pretty obvious.
Also, you didn't mention capital punishment. Is that another exception?
Are there bible scriptures that explain when killing is justified, or is that just your opinion? Just wondering.
