Pastor Jay Pope and his first lady Barbara

I am proud to know these two wonderful individuals on a personal level.

They are Pastor Jay and Barbara Pope of Lighthouse church , two people who have completely sold their lives out to God.

Pastor Jay brings the word and Barbara leads the praise and worship to the Lighthouse church where Jesus is Lord!

Jay attende the schools of the street and got lead to the Lord and never looked back always praying and being there when someone needs him.

Barbara has stuck by his side through the rought times to finally have the man that God intended her to have.

On a personal note if I had to pick a person as a role model for my journey as a Pastor Jay would be it.

He has coined a phrase that I will always remember

"I will love you , but I won't love you to hell!"

Unlike a lot of today's Pastor's he still brings the hellfire and brimstone when needed if it means saving a person from eternal damnation.

He knows what it is like to be a sinful nasty creature , but God isn't through with him and has molded him into a awesome vessel who I am proud to call my Pastor , but most of all my friend.

They are one of the finest couples that I know.

Miss. Barbara as I call her is always there with a kind word and a smile which will lift a persons spirits no matter how bad a week they have had.

They have raised three wondeful daughters in the love of God which gives me a glimmer of hope for the future generation of this area.
