To Church Or To Be With Church.

I had made a comment earlier that I was going to be with church.

I had always heard and said myself "lets go to church.

After I heard a sermon and done the research I was wrong.

Church in the Greek is "ekklesia" [1577 in the Strong's]

a calling out a popular meeting especially a religious cong.

A Christian community of members on earth or saints in heaven.

Listen a disaster could take away every billion dollar building or ever garage that we use for a church and we would still be church.

When there is a natural disaster the building don't go the body of believers does.

People worry to much on the outside of the building , it is the inside that counts.

If conviction isn't taught and repentance and salvation which is all thru Jesus Christ and the Cross.

THERE IS NO OTHER WAY !

Don' matter what Obama or Oprah or L.Ron Hubbard or whoever else says.

The building is just that a building.

I have had more Holy Ghost filled meetings in a tent or a 3 room building.

Most people go to church to see and be seen and talk shop.

On a personal note My condolences to the family and fans of Charlton Heston who went home to the Lord this past week, a man of morals and character.

I pulled out my copy of the Ten Commandments this PASSOVER and watched it and the Lord showed me that God only made one path through the Red Sea not several for the mixed multitude to promised land.

Churches [mixed multitude]need to see that there is only one path and that is Jesus Christ.

We need to put petty differences aside and join together and fight the real enemy that is pushing all the immoral things down out throats.

We may have to tolerate it because of man's law and the judges who enforce it, but we don't have to accept it in our homes or our church buildings.

Who is with me for going through the RED SEA[TRIBULATIONS]AND GOING INTO THE PROMISED LAND ]

Denominations does not matter as long as you believe Christ crucified and resurrected for our sins and don't accept the immoralities being heaped upon us.

You are my brother and sister in Christ and we will fight side by side till the glorious end.

I believe our fight is almost over, Michael. I think the good Lord is soon to call us home, I believe with all my heart that in my lifetime Jesus will return. All these people that are trying to force their immoral lifestyles on everyone will soon be singing a different tune. When the non beleivers among us starting seeing Gods wrath for real, during the great tribulation, they may start to realize we were trying to help. People may say we are stirring up hate and discontent, but an old preacher once told me that alot of times when you make people mad your probably saying something right.

If all the denominations would join together and realize we are all the same Church, we could have one heck of a last revival. I think its time to start telling the Gospel in overdrive.

Michael you are so right when you say a lot of folks who attend church go there to be seen or talk shop! I have been in church with people on Sunday and worked with them during the week and it's a whole different person! I hadn't yet given myself to the Lord but I knew it was wrong just wasn't convicted to tell them they were wrong. If given the chance now, you better believe I would gently let them know!

A lot of people live their lives doing things outside of church that they wouldn't dream of doing inside the church with others members or the elders in the church see but what they fail to realize is God sees all.

We need to understand God does not live inside the church building and live our lives as we would if God were in the same room with us at all times, seeing what we do, hearing what we say, and knowing what motive we have behind everything because He is in fact with us all the time.

I have mentioned this to someone before who said "He's in my bedroom with me and my husband/significant other?!?!" and I say He sure is! And when you're married God is very happy to see you coming together as husband/wife as He created but when you're not, just know He sees that too even if no one else does.

greasemonkey'

You will see it in your lifetime. You will not know the day but feel the season as you are now. I believe the gospel will be propelled into overdrive soon as time draws.

I also forgot to let you know I still have the extra copy of the book we discussed. Just let me know where to leave it and I will. You can email me at parkerbrothers@charterinternet.com or call me at 931-685-0080.

I think the idea of church is more man made because you can talk to God any place and at any time. Most people go to church to have their spirit refilled (or to be seen). I think you can accomplish the same thing at home on Sunday that you would accomplish in a church . . . God can hear you no matter where you are at.

DannysGal,

You were telling them right when you answered them as you did. Furthermore the Holy Spirit resides in the temple we refer to as the body if someone is born again. I do not think the conviction of the indwelling Spirit of a born again Christian would allow them to be able to do anything other than sleep in a bedroom they do not belong in.

This is one more reason why God is called the Great Physician.

He won't get grossed out or laugh when He sees us naked.

Even then,it's a lot more comfortable having Him around as a close and trusted friend than sharing one's life with a stranger.

Michael,

Thanks for your comments. I especially like when someone sees something that makes me think like you did when you made the comment about the Red Sea. It was only one path then to escape the wrath and to reach the Promised Land as it is now. It is a straight and narrow path also which makes it easier. You just have to keep focused on what is straight ahead of you and don't take your eyes off of it (Christ).

I also liked your comment..... "People worry too much on the outside of the building, it is the inside that counts."

That also applies to the main temple itself. We can easily get distracted into worrying about the outward appearance of our bodies and neglect the inside. It reminds me how Christ confounded the Jews on the issue of the temple when he said "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." They even wagged their heads as he hangs on the cross and railed him to come off the cross and save himself if he could rebuild their temple in 3 days. Even the disciples did not understand what he was talking about in regards to the temple until after the resurrection.

I am with you for the crossing.
