Happy 40th Birthday Michael
and Saturday morning cartoons are still around but you have to be up before the crack of dawn to see them.Gone are the days of Bugs Bunny and Road Runner, The Flintstones, Tom and Jerry and the Smurfs, they have been replaced by Horseland, Carebears,Hannah Montana, Raven, and Dino Squad.
Unless of course you have Cartoon Channel :>)
Anyway Hope you had a wonderful Birthday
At that time 1968 Gas was up to.33 cents a gallon back home.

Happy birthday Michael and may God bless you and keep you.
Michael,
Happy Birthday! I just hope I accept 40 as gracefully as you.
BTW, have you noticed your blogs have by far the most posts? Whether posters agree or disagree, it is clear that your thoughts are provoking some great dialogue.
Permanent Press [good]
Tabloid TV [bad]
Computers and Internet [good]
Less time spent hanging out with other generations [bad]
More diversity in products and perspectives [good]
More cynicism and complacency [bad]

We're blessed to have you with us.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY.....Enjoy...they really start going by very fast now...I know...
But they get better as you go along.
(Who knew?)
You're getting to the time of life when you don't have to prove anything to anyone.
("We can stop trying to look grown up now?")
You've invested enough time in life to start reaping the dividends but you still have time to build a better future for yourself (however long the Lord tarrys).
This age may give you a "morning after" when you didn't have a "night before" but it also lets you be young enough to have fun and old enough to set a good example doing it.
Life does begin at 40.
Make the most of it! :)
LOL your bday is a day after mine. You're still old as hades too.
