The Apostasy

2:6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth [will let], until he be taken out of the way.
2 Thessalonians 2:6-7 KJV 6:66 From that [time] many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. John 6:66 KJV 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 2 Thessalonians 2:3 KJV These three verses come to me during my time away from church which I fasted and prayed to seek God's direction for me and he showed me , more on that to come. I harp a lot on what the world and I know that , but I now realize that the world is expected to do that, not the Kingdom of God. So unless you profess to be of the Kingdom, but your fruits are not of God then this concerns you. If you are of the world and do not profess Christ then either read to find the right path or go read the enquirer. When the church falls away and starts giving into the ways of the world it hurts, because the church is supposed to be the light of the world. What would happen if that light was put out or "under a bushel" as the bible says. I do not believe the Anti-Christ can truly do his thing until the light is put out and his darkness rules. The Bible says that until the one who restrains him"the Antichrist" is taken away he cannot take over. The one that restrains him is the "Holy Spirit" and that works through the church. God will not take away the "Holy Spirit" without the church going to. This will either happen in the rapture where the true church is called home. Not the church itself because they are just buildings, but the true believers of Jesus from all that exist. The Antichrist would have no problem for his time allowed. But what if the church was taken away as a voice and a roadblock to all the immorality going on. What if the politicians who are Christian were silenced, what if the worship of Jesus Christ was made illegal and this one world and one faith deal was in effect, the Antichrist would have full power then. It would be as if John the Baptist had decided to not proclaim the Messiah was coming and went back in the woods or if after the first beating or storm at sea Paul decided to remain quiet. I will not be silenced as I hope others will proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ! When churches give in and condone sinful acts so they will remain popular is just as bad I will list some here. The cross and the blood were never meant to be popular and feel good sermons but the way to salvation and eternal life. The Presbyterian church decided to lift the ban on gays and stated that "gays have to be accepted" accepted no , tolerated yes. They should not be put into the ministry. They had a big interfaith meeting between Jews Christian's and Muslims in Spain to have talks one "one world one faith" as the archbishop of Canterbury put it , no matter who you call by name it is still faith. What a bunch of garbage, sounds like one world one religion to me. This garbage that Oprah is spewing out about the "new age Christianity",. The Apostasy is here folks and it is time for the Christian voice to be heard and the light to shine. In the tabernacle the light could never go out which means fresh oil had to go in constantly, the oil is the word of God get it constantly so your light does not flicker. John 6:66 KJV 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 2 Thessalonians 2:3 KJV 37:1 <[A Psalm] of David.> Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. 37:2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. 37:3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; [so] shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. 37:5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring [it] to pass. 37:6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. 37:7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. 37:8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. 37:9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. 37:10 For yet a little while, and the wicked [shall] not [be]: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it [shall] not [be]. 37:11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. 37:12 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. 37:13 The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming. 37:14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, [and] to slay such as be of upright conversation. 37:15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken. 37:16 A little that a righteous man hath [is] better than the riches of many wicked. 37:17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous. 37:18 The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever. 37:19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. 37:20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD [shall be] as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away. 37:21 The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth. 37:22 For [such as be] blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and [they that be] cursed of him shall be cut off. 37:23 The steps of a [good] man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. 37:24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth [him with] his hand. 37:25 I have been young, and [now] am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. 37:26 [He is] ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed [is] blessed. 37:27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore. 37:28 For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. 37:29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever. 37:30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment. 37:31 The law of his God [is] in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. 37:32 The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him. 37:33 The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged. 37:34 Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see [it]. 37:35 I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree. 37:36 Yet he passed away, and, lo, he [was] not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found. 37:37 Mark the perfect [man], and behold the upright: for the end of [that] man [is] peace. 37:38 But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off. 37:39 But the salvation of the righteous [is] of the LORD: [he is] their strength in the time of trouble. 37:40 And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him. Psalms 37:1-40 KJV If the church is the one who restrains the "evil one" from ruling , we must run the race till finished , either our becoming martyr's or the rapture. We can't be silenced for we are at the "Crossroads" where choice have to be made and lives changed. Have you made your choice today? A Few Thoughts
He Came, He Went, He Will Come Again!
Dear Mr.Obama
|
You put down the Archbishop of Canterbury for saying "one world, one faith" but not even 3 months ago, you place the same person on a pedestal saying he was inspired by God to have the authority to remove 14 books from the Bible.
Care to answer that?
WHY can't you just one Sunday talk about all the wonderful things God has given us...Not talk about gloom and doom......You talk in circles all the time....I wonder if you even know what you are talking about sometimes.......
The time will come when we might not be able to read a Bible, hear a sermon or teach the Word as readily as we might now.
The righteous will be the ones who will have to operate subtly and covertly as they have before.
The enemy might be able to silence our hymns or limit our gathering together but how easily can he forbid our being honest or prudent or kind or brave or rational?
How well could he cull people for being decent human beings?
The people who believe more in the adversary's power to do harm than God's power of Love may try to blend in with the new regime or they may cower in the hopes that they will be overlooked until the Lord retrieves them.
The rest will stand out because they will be functioning in a different and better way.
People will start to wonder what makes these people thrive even under adversity.
The foe will resent their influence because it offers an alternative to what and who he hopes to install.
They will be obvious because they are NOT charlatans or the self-deluded but people who prove the truth of their choice by every aspect of the way they live.
Their worship may be hidden but their Grace cannot be concealed.
The people who want that kind of liberty, strength, and wholeness will ask to share in what these believers have.
The Anti-Christ will know where they get their power and will cut them down as soon as he asks them who they serve and they confirm his suspicions.
But,their message will remain even after they are removed.
Their martyrdom itself will open eyes to the reality of God's truth.
The darker it gets, the more visible each pinprick of Light becomes.
In the days when we cannot hand out a tract,we can run an errand for a neighbor.
When we can't listen to gospel or wear a cross,we can live a healthy lifestyle and maintain loving relationships.
We can have stronger communities and more productive workplaces than the rest.
When we are denied the chance to witness with our words,we can validate our faith and give our testimony with our deeds.
That's something any of us can do and we can start it now.
We might not be able to prevent the enemy from having his hours of control over this planet but we can limit his achievement and make the forces of hell sweat for everything they get.
We can grind it into their conciousness that it will be our absence (not their presence) that will give them even the suggestion of a temporary victory.
We can become "God's Guerillas" and a "Redeemed Resistance" but we will serve our cause best by what we do for our Maker instead of how we might respond to His rather under-whelming nemesis.
satan isn't going to win.
he never wins.
The most he has ever accomplished is to make us lose by default.
The instant we show up to play,he is defeated.
he appears as a lion seeking who he might devour but he is toothless so he can't confront anyone that's too tough.
he has to find victims who put themselves in his path then become so intimidated by his roar that they fall into his jaws.
Then he has to wait for death to soften them enough that he can feed.
he cannot survive when his intended prey is strong, armed and too wary to be ambushed.
he only thinks he is a predator.
Instead,he relies on our becoming carrion.
Those of us who have Life don't need to fear him.
We become victors by standing with God rather then against anyone else.
Our forgetting or neglecting that fact is the only means by which our foe makes it through a single skirmish.
If we live for God and according to His will for our lives, the efforts of the enemy to usurp God's creation will be futile.
Note to the lower impotence:
This is our Father's world-not yours.
Get used to the idea.
That was the first Archbishop not this one.
Not it wasn't, it was the Archbishop in 1875, but it both hold the same station and uphold the same beliefs that each held previously. Just like the Pope, he is held accountable.
So are you saying each person's beliefs or actions should be held accountable for future generations to judge due to position?
Er... let me see if I've got this straight.
Two sets of folks believe there should be "one world, one faith" but each insists that theirs should be the one and only.
It's rather like two political parties endorsing the concept of one adult, one vote but the only votes they recognize as worth casting are the ones for them.
It has been my assumption that the last days will winnow down the number of splinter groups and knock offs until the ones that had little to offer atrophy and disappear while the ones that survive attrition discover their common beliefs and unite.
Anything that is divisive or confusing falls away until you have but two factions who are utterly loyal to their group and have an unalloyed belief in the truth.
All that was wavering, ambiguous or equivocal has vanished.
At that time, all will know God for who He is and will either insist on cleaving to Him or rejecting Him.
All that was adulterated or incomplete will be replaced by a total and uncompromising allegiance to one side or the other.
Ironically,it is not being on the wrong side that will cause a person's downfall.
(satan's side might as well not exist.)
It is the failure to realize that the only true choice remaining is one Creation, under God,indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Free will remains for people to be apart from God or a part of God.
But,now they will have no excuse that they didn't know the truth or were somehow unable to accept His healing Grace.
There will be one world and one faith with the Last Man Standing having nail scars on His hands.
Amen!
There is only one way and that way is Jesus Christ no other way or you are a thief.
D.James Kennedy who was a great member of the Presbyterian faith and a member on several of its boards that made decisions for the church went to his grave recently stating that homosexuality was abominable before God which the bible plainly states.
Jerry Falwell fought it till he died.
When the staunch supporters of the faith leave the first love which is Jesus Christ and try to tickle mans ears with pretty words his choices can be bad for future generations for they won't know the truth.
When people speak of God Jesus and the bible if you can't back it up with scripture then you are misleading.
Jesus won't come back as the babe in the manger or the blood soaked body on the cross.
He will come back on the milky white stallion with imprinted on his thigh "KING OF KING AND LORD OF LORDS"
Everybody will bow and confess that Jesus is Lord.
That includes Mohammad, Buddha, L. Ron Hubbard Oprah Winfrey and all the rest.
When asked how much Jesus loved the world he stretched out his arms and died , who else has done that?
As far as the doom and gloom goes if you are unsure of your salvation it might seem that way.
Because I am sure of mine It is the best news ever.
For he is Coming Soon! Be Ready!
I am just curious to know how you seem to know that Christ is coming soon? He may, and that is fine with me. I just think you are getting a little to big in your britches to be think this. It could be tonight tomorrow or 1000 years from now, but he still will come like a thief in the night. Should people take the chance with their souls and wait to trust him? No! But you or noone else knows when he will come back.
I am also very sure of my salvation and still think you preach more gloom and doom. That may work for you but just because I believe in a different way of bringing the message does not mean I am unsure of my salvation.
I don't know but he did say that man can discern the weather by signs in the sky , but not his coming.
It might be a hundred or 10 or 1 year or even tonight I don't know.
By what is going on in the world and the way we are going I can't see but it being soon and very soon.
As far as the doom and gloom Jesus even talked of Hell more than he did heaven.
These are all birthing pains the real labor is soon to come when the world gives birth to the Antichrist and the great tribulation starts.
Whether I am raptured out of here or I am martyred I don't plan on seeing it.
"By what is going on in the world and the way we are going I can't see but it being soon and very soon."
And they have been saying that for 2000 years. They said that during the last mini ice age, they said that during the Black Plague, etc. It will not happen when you think it will. It just won't.
Are you saying each person's beliefs or actions should be held accountable for future generations to judge due to their personal position?
I made a video recently, it's pretty much what you said:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlzfI95FopQ
Well, all except for the "rapture".
My favorite discussion - eschatology. If we look at any 100 period of history we could say all those signs are there, and most likely a scholar at that time would say that. I would say that the development of faster communications, i.e. internet, cell phones, cable T.V. etc., would be the one thing that could possibly bring us closer than any other generation. Do I know this will bring the rapture or tribulation closer? NO.
As a Christian and as I mature in my relationship with Jesus, I don't concern myself with the doom and gloom preaching. Why should I? My faith lies with Jesus and he promised he was preparing a home for me. I do need to be concerned with my relationship with God and am I continuing to mature and grow.
We are studying a book in Sunday School at present that is making most of us think about our beliefs and at times question why. It also makes for interesting discussions in class. I don't always agree with the author, but he used an analogy of a song that fits this topic. It is:
You better watch out; you better not cry;
you better not pout, I'm telling you why,
Jesus Christ is coming to town.
He knows when you've been sleeping;
He knows when you're awake;
He knows when you've been bad or good,
So be good for goodness sake.
Satan wants us to question our forgiveness, our salvation, but Christ tells me I am forgiven. I also know I have to let the Holy Spirit work through me, and try to let go of my independant Spirit. God did not create robots, but he does want us to lean on him and allow him to use us to bring good news to the world. I didn't mean to wander so much, but I love the study of end times and heaven, and more importantly I love my Lord and Savior who gave himself so that my sins could be forgiven.
Amen back atcha,Sharon22!
Note the "be good for goodness' sake."
Not so you'll get the latest version of "Tickle Me Elmo",not because because the Krampus will hit you with switches,Black Peter will take back your toys or Knight Ruprecht will stuff you into his sack, not because you want to avoid the humiliation of finding only coal in your stocking.
Be good because goodness has intrinsic worth and needs no bribes or threats to encourage its support.
A god or saint traditionally plays the "good cop" who is jolly,all-knowing,dispenses treats and performs rescues.
The one who makes sure we learn that Grace is free rather than cheap is the "bad cop" who has been portrayed by goblins, street urchins, farmhands, and slaves.
He began as a depiction of the devil who sought to thrash children with his chains and deprive them of all the good father had in store for them.
He was presented as a defeated enemy who was both frightening and foolish and would show his resentment by declaring the undeserving his fair game.
He changed from demon to jester to slave to liberated servant to crusader.
During that time,he was the reminder of the harsh reality that was the counterpoint to the sweetness and frivolity.
But,somewhere along the line, the servants were restricted to making toys.
No one is employed to help record transgressions or mete out punishment.
Is this an excuse for us to avoid making responsible choices?
Or is it a challenge to do the right thing and be the right kind of people because that has become our nature - not because we've been seduced or coherced into proper conduct?
We can either work on being nice (since we can't conceal our naughtiness) when we see the signs heralding the coming of the Guy with All the Goodies or we can be generous and loving before the celebrations start and without looking for an end-of-the world write-off on what we owe.
Thank You Sharon22 and my friend quantumcat !!!!!!
I made a video recently, it's pretty much what you said:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlzfI95FopQ

mel2012,
I clicked on the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlzfI95Fo... and watched the video you made. Great job on the video. I do have one question about the end of it where it says there will be no rapture. Do you think Christians will be exposed to the wrath depicted in your video?
A true believer is not led into the fold of God by the threat of Hell and burning fires but by the love of God and faith in him. Anyone can be threatened to do something they don't want to but that doesn't mean they truly believe in the word. When someone does something out of love and free will, it is because they truly believe in it and then it comes truly from the heart and actually means something.
Michael Bell and others can scare as many people into coming to church but that doesn't mean they truly believe or will be saved.
amen jaxspike. he is always trying to scare people and stir conflict with his so called predictions. every generation has seen the signs of end of times. god will come when he gets ready to come. people have to be witnessed to and be led to christ not some tale of gloom and doom, there is a light at the end for all christians.
Michael,
You write countless blogs about the end of times, etc., but have you ever thought about writing a blog simply about salvation. I've noticed on most of your blogs, you rant about everything wrong with the world, and then at the end you write something like "Have you made your choice today",
or "accept what Jesus did on the cross", but I don't think you've ever been specific about what a person must do to get to heaven and avoid hell.
How does a person become saved and KNOW that they are saved?
It may sound like an easy question, but many churches disagree about the specifics. I came across a youtube video of a sermon about salvation by a preacher named Paul Washer which I thought was interesting. He basically says that most churches in America are deceiving people, and leading people to believe they are saved when they are not. It's about an hour long, but its worth watching. I'd like to know if you all agree or disagree with his message.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=uuabITeO4l8
I read something recently that most Christians treat salvation as a one way ticket to heaven. Salvation is developing and maturing in your relationship with God. It's not about rules and regulations, or what sins you did or did not commit. As you grow with God and allow the Holy Spirit to live in you, your life will change because of the power of the Holy Spirit. Will I get all my wants met? No! Will I have all my needs met as God sees fit? Yes! I may have to wait on the answer, or may not get the answer till I get to heaven, but God will see that my needs are met. It also does not mean we will not go through hard times, it means that we have someone going through those times with us.
These blogs of gloom and doom are not for the unsaved ones I talk to them in person.
These blogs are to let people who don't know scripture well and can't see what is going on right in front of their eyes.
Most churches don't even talk prophecy!
And what do you base this on? Haven't seen you sitting in the pews of my church. Why do you feel the need to put other churches down? More of the gloom and doom. To be honest does it actually matter when he comes as long as you are ready? I am ready and will still spread the word of God's saving grace until that time. People can guess until they are blue in the face and you still are not going to know when Christ is coming back.
I like seeing people rejoice in their faith although I could do with a bit less Michael-bashing.
He may not be offering all that everyone needs but if he provides one person with what they require to create a good relationship with God (even if they come to that point while protesting Michael's views),then it's worth every bit of bandwidth he's used to be our Jeremiah.
They say that God has little use for "soothsayers".
If the word is defined as people who tell the truth, then I don't think the Lord has a problem with that.
If it refers to people who give soft, smooth words that are more palatable than factual, then I think God would find them just as distasteful as Michael.
We don't need the phony or deluded to give us false doctrines and empty assurances as a scam artist might pull forth a paper towel stuffed with chicken entrails and convince us he has removed all the sickness from our body.
The saved and unsaved need a testimony that gives the whole of God's message with the forth-telling and the glory of the Gospel.
While we are proclaiming both in what we say and do,those who have accepted Christ as their Savior might want to renew their vows as a bride might show her mate that she would marry him all over again.
Here is a version Wesley came up with in the nineenth century:
(That'd be John Wesley-not the ones from Star Trek or Angel.)
...Christ has many services to be done.
Some are easy, others are difficult.
Some bring honour, others bring reproach.
Some are suitable to our natural inclinations and temporal interests.
Others are contrary to both...
Yet the power to do all these things is given to us in Christ, who strengthens us.
The Prayer
I am no longer my own, but Thine.
Put me to what Thou wilt, rank me with whom Thou wilt.
Put me to doing, put me to suffering.
Let me be employed for Thee or laid aside for Thee, exalted for Thee or brought low for Thee.
Let me be full.
Let me be empty.
Let me have all things.
Let me have nothing.
I freely and heartily yield all things to Thy pleasure and disposal.
And now, O glorious and blessed God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit,Thou art mine, and I am Thine.
So be it.
And the covenant which I have made on earth, let it be ratified in heaven.
Amen.
It seems as if the big question we have to answer is this:
If it all fell to pieces tomorrow, would we still be HIS?
These blogs of gloom and doom are not for the unsaved ones I talk to them in person.

Then what is the point?!?
What do "saved" people have to gain from your crazy end of the world predictions?
"Most churches don't even talk prophecy!

Of course they do. Every church I have attended talks about the end of time being near. Its good for business. They just don't dwell on it like you do.
Hehehe
Quantumcat -- Well said.
Pastor Mike, stay with the message that been put on your heart.
Richard maybe you should study the book of Revelation and see why Pastor Mike is so concerned. That is if you believe in the Book.
Monkey- the old crow isn't dead so I didn't eat it.
You was raised in a church school so you say. Well rounded education as I believe you said.
You have no excuse if you close the door it is your choice.
I am sure people would quit bashing Michael if he would quit bashing groups of people he does not understand or that he feels disagree with his religion.
I am sure people would quit bashing Michael if he would quit bashing groups of people he does not understand or that are against his beliefs.
I remember the story of the Sun and the North Wind.
They had a wager as to who was stronger.
They spotted a traveller and decided to remove the boy's coat.
The North Wind howled and pummeled the youth with chill blasts of air but the lad clung to his coat all the tighter.
The Sun then had his try.
He surrounded the traveller with light and warmth until the boy relaxed.
Then,he turned up the heat a bit until holding on to that coat felt uncomfortable.
The sun shone on him until he decided he no longer needed the coat since the Sun was doing a better job at keeping him toasty.
The traveller put his coat away and the North Wind had to concede the bet.
What tactic serves us best when we're trying to change people?
Do we attack them and try to take away what they have or do we give them a better alternative that encourages them to make the choice that fits our agenda because it also fits their best interests?
