As most of you know I love history, not just biblical but history in general. I would love to be a archaeologist and go to the pyramids and Stonehenge and easter island and all the other strange places in the world. I have heard all the stories of how they were created , but I have one for you. First off there are people who say that the Bible is metaphors and can't be taken seriously, either you believe it and you can understand what I am saying or you don't, so don't even try. In Genesis chapter 6 it talks of the "Sons of God" looking upon the daughters of men and went into them. This produced giants which I believe when they died at the because of the flood and at the hands of David and his army. The Bible states that there was giants before and after the flood. The Sons of God that are spoken of in chapter 6 of Genesis were sent to minister to man for there was no Bible yet. Most people think that "Sons of God means the sons of Cain to the daughters of Abel. In Hebrew it translates "Benni' Elohim " which is angels. It did not say sons of Cain. The Book of Enoch goes into detail on this. I will list the verses here on Giants so you can reference them. 6:1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they [were] fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. 6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also [is] flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare [children] to them, the same [became] mighty men which [were] of old, men of renown. Genesis 6:1-4 KJV 9:2 A people great and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom thou knowest, and [of whom] thou hast heard [say], Who can stand before the children of Anak! Deuteronomy 9:2 KJV 15:14 And Caleb drove thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak. Deuteronomy 3:11 KJV 21:16 And Ishbibenob, which [was] of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear [weighed] three hundred [shekels] of brass in weight, he being girded with a new [sword], thought to have slain David. 2 Samuel 21:16 KJV 20:6 And yet again there was war at Gath, where was a man of [great] stature, whose fingers and toes [were] four and twenty, six [on each hand], and six [on each foot]: and he also was the son of the giant. 1 Chronicles 20:6 KJV I know that ever country or land has its stories of Giants and most folks call it mythology. The first century church fathers taught the giants the way the bible says and warned that the Greek scholars would copy their teachings and corrupt them which they did. You either take the Bible as truth or you don't. Just imagine if these Giants built all the places that we marvel today. I have heard of giant skeletons being found up to 15 foot tall. What if easter island statues were accurate models of a giants head. What if the drawings on the caves and pyramids were of a giant race? The Bible talks of a couple of these giants chained up that will be released in the end of days. I believe this is the "Demon Seed" that is taught by some churches. Satan new that Jesus would come of a woman's seed, wait a minute a woman don't have a seed, boy was he fooled. Satan thought that the natural act between a man and a woman would produce the first prophetic statement in the bible of He will bruise his heel , but he will crush your head . The heel of Jesus was bruised , but the old devil's head will be crushed. Imagine a race of beings over 10 foot tall and of the devil. Before you say that angels can't have sex, if they are in angelic form they can't but they took on fleshy bodies so they could give into temptation and do all that men could do. Jesus left his spiritual body and came to this earth and suffers and triumphed over every temptation that we go through. Remember in Sodom and Gomorrah God said "if you can find one righteous one I won't destroy it" they did not find one. Lot and his daughters were only spared because of mercy. The only righteous one in history was and is Jesus Christ only through his sacrifice and redemptive blood can we be spared when the end happens. If you have Christ in you and his blood on you that is all God sees for you are as white as snow if not well as they say the rest and you are history. You say I need to do more salvation messages these were the messages taught by the apostles. If you want ear tickling go somewhere else for you won't get it here. For all you scholars Josephus wrote that the skeletons of these giants were shown in 1st century churches to remind the people what they were saved from. if you believe the bible you will find this interesting if you don't maybe it will strike a nerve so that you do come to Christ. Interesting subject for you to pick. Most apologists try to avoid it. I do not think I necessarily agree with how you lump all the "giants" together, but that is okay. I am fascinated by the use of the titles "Son of God" and "Son of Man" and all the different meanings attributed to them, and the evolution of the Son of Man to the cloud rider like Son of Man to Son of God actually being God.
I also do not know if I would criticize the Greek translations or the Greek scholars as you did though, as that is what you are mostly using when you read your Bible, much of the NT was originally in Greek. If you believe the bible, you are believing the Greek version. Thanks for the great topic.
Maybe not all of the Greek scholars, but the ones who wrote the mythology distorted the apostles and the first century church fathers.
I mainly read the Jewish version of the Old and new testaments.
When I say to the roots of my faith I am researching the church before Constantine took it over and started what we call modern Christianity.
I want to get back to the original as I can when my church comes into existence.
I do find this stuff fascinating.

The link to the giants you posted had information posted right below them that referenced when and where some of them were found. Several claimed to be found in the last recent few hundred years such as b, f, g, and h. Are any of these still preserved anywhere?
Not that I know of , but I will try to find out.
Michael, I think you would also like some of the young earth beliefs. I do not remember much about it, but one of the proponents I do recall was Hovind. He was in my opinion sort of a nut, but he had conviction. You should be able to find out a lot about it on the internet. I know he wrote some, but not sure how much, or if there are any books worth looking for, but all those guys believe about the same. I remember him from Art Bell if you can believe that. If you have not looked into I would suggest you do. Great Stuff.
I would also be careful. The stuff they preach near fully justifies everything you believe. That makes it very tempting for someone to accept it all as fact and swallow it hook line and sinker. Most leaders of churches wont touch it though. A lot of it could be called bunk, but there are some interesting aspects.

A few years back I read and studied a book on The Great Pyramid of Giza. It was very interesting from several perspectives. First and foremost to me was it correlation to much of the biblical timelines. Second of all was the fact it could not be built today even with the technology and equipment we have. It definitely looks like it was built by a superior being or people far more advanced than modern day man.
I know it is a little off the blog topic but thought you might have an interest in it.

I was fasinated by the angels also. I read where they came to earth just before the flood and at this time God said man's life span would be 120 years.
These sons of God bare children who became giants also. It was after this that God destroyed the earth with his flood. It had to mainly be because these angels with all their knowledge had corrupted mankind.
After the flood, there were several Giants mentioned in the Bible when Moses was in the wilderness. These giants were said to be descendents of the original giants. I can't undersatnd how if the flood killed all the people except 8. How is that possible? Even Lots descendents had giants in them.
Preacher Arnold teachers that more giants will come down from heaven in the last days. I have never read that anywhere. Maybe you can tell me where that is?
My KJ Bible says God has chained (all) these fallen angels up in darkness until judgment day, so they can't do any more harm.

I watch him also and agree with a lot of his teachings.
When the fallen angels come back if man has long hair they are mistaken for as women.
When angels take a fleshly body they can do all that we can do.
It is said that King Og rode on the top of the ark in Jewish sources.
It is also said that the demonic spirits [ the spirit can not be killed] took over the women again and produced the giants again.
Maybe the angels that came to minister before the word of God was written fell went into women again.
Most say that the "sons of God " were the sons of Seth anyway and don't believe in the supernatural aspect of it.

Pastor Arnold Murray of Shepherds chapel stated that we have souls that came from dinosaurs and cavemen in an earlier life before the earth was re-created into our earth as we know it.
If I understood him right, we were created by God and given a used soul that once lived inside of a Dinosaur or caveman. When they died off, God saved these souls and put them in us.
I don't buy that for a second. He has said so many things that I just can not believe when I belive in God.
He believes that there where two Eves. One who slept with Satan and conceived Cain and a second one who slept with Adam and had Abel and Seth and many other children.
The Bible says that Eve is the mother of all living (Gen 3:11). That is all I have to know. No other woman could have had children if Eve is the mother of all living.
He also claimed that satan had intercourse with Eve and she conceived Cain.
That there is two different stories out of his mouth.
He claims the sons of man will return in the last days, but I don't find it anywhere. May some jewish or greek letter tell it but not my Bible.
He does tell a lot of good things but what isn't good makes me not believe anything I haven't read until proven to me.
Michael are you saying that when the angels come back if men have long hair, the angel will mistake the men for women? Oh my, that could be painful since the sons on God were Giants. I have to say Michael, you should know better than that. These angels are in heaven and know things we will never know. I don't think a flat chested, long haired man is going to fool an angel.
Yes angel do take on the flesh and blood bodies when they come to earth, so we never know when angel has stopped and asked us for help or told us something.
King Og ridng on top of the ARk should have made Top Headline news in our Bibles if it happened.
Demonic spirits don't die and roam the earth looking for someone to enter.
However, the bible says that God himself made sure the fallen sons of God were sent to hell and chained them up in darkness so they could never mingle with man again(2 Peter 2:4).
The Bible tells us that they are the "sons of God". So these "sons of God who were fallen angels", couldn't be the sons of Seth who was a Patriarch in the linage of Jesus Christ. The "people" who have become a "son of God by salvation" may be from Seths bloodline.
Anyone who doesn't believe the super natural doesn't believe in the bible.
