3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and [that] the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. 3:22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Revelation 3:14-22 KJV

45 miles Southeast of Philadelphia one arrives at Laodicea, where several roads come together, this was a fortified city named after the wife of Antiochus II.

After being destroyed by a earthquake in A.D.61 , the city restored itself without the aid of Nero thus becoming a self sufficient people.

Medicine, the production of eye ointment, wool distribution, and banking brought fame to Laodicea.

Christ came as the amen to this church which means faithful and true.

His report is of the things of God that are neither cold or hot, this neutrality towards God is unacceptable and each person of the church must choose.

You either believe in him and his message or you don't , there is no middle ground.

Some if not most people take Jesus and his work in stride only paying heed to the word on Sunday morning.

They go pat baby Jesus on the head at Christmas service and then go weep at the mangled body on the cross at Easter.

While all in between they pay the word no mind,

All of the churches existed at one time in the physical sense while they all existed in type during different eras of time.

They all exist even today, churches are not social clubs to discuss the latest fads or to find business deals to pull off.

It his a house of correction and its teachers are missing in action.

Programs are nice if it makes a change in peoples lives with the message.

In the days of the High Priest one requirement was that he could not have damaged stones , therefore reproducing sons in his likeness to be priest.

In today's terms , "if there ain't nobody getting saved and being changed the church ain't reproducing".

Cotton candy and fuzzy ducks are nice for carnivals , but not when it comes to the Word of God.

PREACH IT ,LIVE IT , AND FIGHT FOR IT AND DIE FOR IT, HE DIED FOR YOU! Unless you want to be spewed out of the mouth of God!
