Why, How and Who?
Posted Wednesday, September 3, 2008, at 5:16 PM<< Previous | Read comments | Respond | Email link | Next >>
With the election fast approaching, these questions are being asked by millions of people.
The why is obvious, now I am as guilty as anybody for not voting in the past, but that will be the case no more. In a country that has its diverse culture and our many problems, we are still the greatest country there is. We get to elect our officials and if need be call for their termination, we can support or protest anything or anyone we want. As far as how, I know people who vote their party regardless of the nominee, how wrong is that? As far as I go I will carry my bible with me in the booth and pray over it for I will"VOTE THE BIBLE!" Whichever candidate shows the most biblical point of view , he or and she will will get my vote. As Christians , we can not start a change without putting the right people in office. As far as who , that is for each of us to decide for I vote Christocrat for the bible says to seek ye first the kingdom of God and all else will be granted. Whichever candidate seeks the Bible's wisdom is the one who should be in charge of the terrible times ahead. Two big issues besides the war and the economy is the usual "Roe vs Wade" and the homosexual agenda. We all have our own thoughts or opinions, well I gave mine up when I accepted Christ, my beliefs are the bible whether I like it or not This is and will be a important election for years to come, vote your conscience, but most of all VOTE THE BIBLE! Dear Mr.Obama

That is why I hate this election . . I always vote because I think it is my civic duty but this year I do not like the choices at all and will not vote for either McCain or Obama. I just pray I will find an independent candidate that is worthy of my vote.
Obama... [obviously] The man was sworn in with his own Holy Bible, not the one offered by the Congress...
The only Congressman sworn into office on the Koran was Congressman Keith Ellison... Not Obama, just to keep that issue from rising.
McCain and Palin all the way baby
Ok now that you have come right out and said who you are supporting I will ask.... are you implying that by voting for Obama one is voting against christianity?
Nathan . . .look what voting based on religion got us the past eight years.
Oh I know jaxspike...that is why I am so appalled by Michael. If you take abortion out of the mix, the Democrats are clearly the party of tolerance and compassion for fellow man. Your religion is warped if you think that Jesus supports war and intolerance. Vote for whomever you wish, but do not pretend to know which candidate God would vote for because both parties have their shortcomings. You religious sheeple better wake up and realize that abortion is not the end all of arguments. Our nation is bankrupt and our leaders continue to spend money on foolish endeavors that do not benefit the people of the United States while doing nothing to pay for it. I am witnessing the destruction of the American Dream first hand and it is tragic. Keep voting based on abortion, fail to realize that what is good for some is not good for all, and force your ideals on others; I can almost guarantee you that you will achieve the opposite of what you set out to accomplish.
Who to vote for? Let's see!
I have to say, you don't have to worry your little head off about WHO to vote for President and Vice President this year.
All of that is done for you!
The way the President is voted into office is explained in Article II, section 1 of the US Constitution.
Article II, Section 1, Clause 3 was changed in the 12th Amendment.
Amendment 12 of the United States Constitution - Choosing the President, Vice-President. Ratified 6/15/1804.
The Electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; they shall name in their ballots the person voted for as President, and in distinct ballots the person voted for as Vice-President, and they shall make distinct lists of all persons voted for as President, and of all persons voted for as Vice-President and of the number of votes for each, which lists they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the seat of the government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate;
The President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted;
The person having the greatest Number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed; and if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote; a quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two-thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice. And if the House of Representatives shall not choose a President whenever the right of choice shall devolve upon them, before the fourth day of March next following, then the Vice-President shall act as President, as in the case of the death or other constitutional disability of the President.
The person having the greatest number of votes as Vice-President, shall be the Vice-President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed, and if no person have a majority, then from the two highest numbers on the list, the Senate shall choose the Vice-President; a quorum for the purpose shall consist of two-thirds of the whole number of Senators, and a majority of the whole number shall be necessary to a choice. But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.
It is called "Electoral College Voters". There is a total of 538 Electoral Votes, but only 270 votes are needed to win the presidency.
Now! There are over 303 millions people in the United States today, but only 270 votes are needed to win the Presidency.
This means that the "Electoral Votes" are counted, not the popular votes, so your vote isn't even counted. Sorry, but, ("YOU VOTE" only counts in local elections), not presidencial elections.
In the 2000 election between Gore and Bush the State of Florida could not even count the 21 or 25 electoral votes accurately. They then blamed the mishap on the Floridians who were mostly older and even retired people who did not knowing how to vote. These Floridians had voted for years and years, so it wasn't the peoples votes.
The State Courts sent it to the Federal Courts and they returned it to the State Court. Neither court wanted the disgraceful honor of telling the people that their votes don't count in the Presidenial Elections.
The only answer was to let the electoral college vote again in Florida. They then counted the electoral votes in Florida all over again. (I am assuming) accrutely the second time!
Watch the election results this year and see how the president gets elected with the 270 votes or more before half the country has even voted yet. That is just 270 votes out of a possible 538 eletoral votes. Or is it out of the total of 303,000,000 American votes.
See you at the poles...? I don't think so!
If you are a Christain you cannot vote for anyone in a party that is pro abortion. The man voted against a bill to give medical assistance to babies who lived through an abortion. He basically just wants to throw them in the trash and let them die! God will not permit our country to florish if we elect this man!
Whose God? Your God? My God? Bin Laden's God? Did God come and tell you this news directly or are these thoughts in your own mind created through years of conditioning? Better yet, did he tell you personally who to vote for? I will vote regardless of how a person feels about abortion because it is a non-issue. It is a non-issue because abortions will still be legally carried out in the United States even if Roe v. Wade is overturned.
Obama voted against a bill to give medical assistance to babies who lived through an abortion... give me a freakin break! That is radical right propaganda and you can't back it up with a shred of evidence greeneyes. That is what I love about you sheeple... your zeal is great, but when it comes down to why you support one candidate or the other you cite the dumbest reasons ever!
abortion is a non issue. i dont think so.
abortion is a non issue. i dont think so.
I have yet to find a party or candidate that doesn't include one or more "dealbreakers."
If any of y'all know of a group or potential leader that has a 100% positive record (no sins of omission or commission),then point me in their direction.
Otherwise,I'm going to pray that I be led to the lesser of two evils and that ALL of us be helped to go beyond our flaws and limited understanding to do what's best for our planet, our country, our home towns and our families.
abortion is a non issue. i dont think so.
-- Posted by greasemonkey on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, at 1:11 PM
Abortion is a non-issue in that even if Roe v. Wade is overturned the decision to allow abortions will rest with the states. So yes it is a non-issue because regardless of what justices are placed on the Supreme Court legal abortions will continue in this country and homosexuals will continue to get married. Get over it!!
Nathan.evans if we all turn tail when people do something that is wrong according to the Bible (you might try reading one)we are not the Christain nation we profess to be. You have to make an effort to change the wrongs being done. If we had not fought the cival war slavery might be with us today. Abortion is murder I don't care how you spin it. We have to speak up against it. It's stupid people like you who don't realize how God has blessed us. God help you on judgement day. Read this.
This week, a YouTubed audio snippet of Barack Obama's defense of his vote against the Illinois state legislation that required medical providers to give normal life-supporting medical care to infants born alive during an abortion appeared on several websites. The news pundits researched the quote and discovered that not only did the audio come from the Chicago Tribune, Obama had made similar remarks in the Illinois legislature.
Here's the audio in print version:
Obama said: I suspect that doctors feel that they would be under that obligation, that they would already be making these determinations, and that essentially adding an additional doctor, who then has to be called in an emergency situation to come in and make these assessments, is really designed simply to burden the original decision of the woman and the physician to induce labor and perform an abortion.
Also found was a similar passage in the transcripts of the Illinois legislature. On pages 32-34 of the April 4, 2002 session, Obama debates the bill on the floor of the state Senate. He says essentially the exact same thing as he did in this audio passage above, but with a little more detail this time. Obama said:
The only plausible rationale, to my mind, for this legislation would be if you had a suspicion that a doctor, the attending physician, who has made the assessment that this is a nonviable fetus and that, let's say for the purposes of the mother's health, is being -- that -- that labor is being induced, that that physician (a) is going to make the wrong assessment and (b) if the physician discovered, after the labor had been induced, that, in fact, he made an error, and in fact this was not a nonviable fetus but, in fact, a live child, that the physician, of his own accord or her own accord, would not try to exercise the sort of medical procedures and practices that would be involved in saving that child.
Now, if -- if you think that there are possibilities that doctors would not do that, then maybe this bill makes sense, but I -- I suspect and my impression is, is that the Medical Society suspects that doctors feel that they would already be under that obligation, that they would already be making these determinations, and that essentially adding a -- an additional doctor who the has to be called in an emergency situation to come in and make these assessments is really designed simply to burden the original decision of the woman and the physician to induce labor and perform an abortion.
Now, if that's the case --and -- and I know some of us feel very strongly one way or the other on that issue -- that's fine, but I think it's important to understand that this issue ultimately is about abortion and not live births.
This passage is really remarkable for the willfully obtuse nature of Obama's arguments. By the time this debate took place, Jill Stanek had already revealed that doctors weren't providing medical care to infants born alive during abortions, at Christ Hospital, and a subsequent investigation proved that other abortion providers also abandoned such infants to die. That was the entire reason for the debate. Obama acts as if this is some curious academic hypothesis.
Instead of addressing the actual issue of infanticide, Obama twists it into a protection for abortion. He frames his own hypothetical as an abortion "for the health of the mother", but the circumstances of the mother's health has no bearing at all on whether a live infant should receive medical care. How would treating a live infant threaten the health of the mother?
And finally, as the original audio notes, the remainder of Obama's opposition rests on the "burden" of calling in a second physician to make an independent determination of the birth. The bill created that "burden", a procedure which would take very little time at all, precisely because the doctors at Christ Hospital and elsewhere threw live infants away with no oversight at all.
Nowhere in this argument does Obama say, "I oppose this bill because of its companion bill," the lame argument that has surfaced over the last 48 hours from Team Obama. He doesn't talk about the bill's supposed unconstitutionality. Moreover, during the presidential campaign, he said he would have supported the federal bill even though it had all of the same supposed flaws Obama argued against in this passage.
Obama protected infanticide in order to protect abortion on demand. Babies born alive during an abortion deserve medical support and assistance.
How are we supposed to get over the murder of children?
greeneyes: I do not want to see text copied and pasted from a radical website or e-mail that you received. Show me your source. As for your bible comment greeneyes, do not pretend to understand me or my studies. Trust me, you do not know me.
greasemonkey: Tell your statement to the mothers of children that were killed as a result of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Those are innocent women and children being accidentally killed and written off as collateral damage, not unborn fetuses that don't have the capacity to understand things like tragedy, suffering, and loss.
SO YES I SAY TO BOTH OF YOU WITH YOUR BLEEDING HEARTS FOR UNBORN BABIES AND YOUR FAILURE TO UNDERSTAND THE DOUBLE EDGED SWORD THAT YOU ATTEMPT TO WIELD... GET OVER IT!!
Abortion for any reason you deem to is wrong case closed!
people should be judged on a case to case basis.
All the worldly people care about is prosperity, the same as some churches by the way.
even if Obama does get it, TRUE CHRISTIANS will still fight for what is right, THE BIBLE.
I feel sorry for the children and mothers of Iraq and Afghanistan. Its like you said they are accidentally killed and its horrible. I guess you think Pres. Bush personally goes over there and kills them himself? It breaks my heart that those people suffer, but is it not worse when someone intentionally kills a child, because they dont want them. Would you also like for us to release all the murderers out of prison, their crime is no different.
All the worldly people care about is prosperity, the same as some churches by the way.
even if Obama does get it, TRUE CHRISTIANS will still fight for what is right, THE BIBLE.

Being as Obama reads the Bible and is a Christian, your statement makes absolutely no sense. Michael, you are back to your fear and hatred, because your other blogs got no attention.
Nathan,
You really should email me darrick_04 at yahoo.com.
Greeneyes,
So how do you justify waging wars that kill hundreds of thousands of innocent people, who are as Nathan said, written off a collateral damage... and then being anti-abortion.
"Bush will save your unborn fetus and send your grown child off to war..."

130,000 Obama supporters donate $10 million the day after Palin speech ;)
Obama claims to be a Christian, he stated that he does not believe that Jesus Christ is the ONLY WAY to eternal life , that disqualifies him right there.
People are not drafted, they sign up on their own free will knowing what might happened.
I am not saying that Obama is Muslim, but he needs to go back and reread the bible on Jesus being the only way and if you go by another you are a thief.
He follows that new age crap that Oprah pushes!
That is not the Christianity that the apostles followed nor I either.
Sure Bush might have jumped the gun but SADDAM IS OUT OF POWERAND I WOULD SUPPORT THE SAME FOR THE GUY IN IRAN TO.
The last days are getting here quick so be prepared for a whole lot of wars like the one of Gog and Magog and Armegeddon.
Look at what Russia is doing, Obama ain't ready by a long shot.
Then again with the restraints lifted off abortion with no stopping that, and total freedom on gays,.
with all the dead babies and same sex couples we won't have a army to fight anyway.
God , the Bible Mccain and Palin, the choice in O9 and beyond.
May God guide the voters to what is right and bring The Third Great Awakening!
Michael did it ever occur to you that some people think what you are pushing is crap!
Michael,
Two words. EDUCATE YOURSELF.
The bible is all the educatuon I need.
I don't care what people think of me, only God's opinion matters.
If I did this for man's acclaim I would be agreeing with the rest of today's misguided people, I know where my future home is, DO YOU?
So , I suppose you two are for abortion and homosexuality, just by support or what reason, time for MCCAIN'S speech gotta go God bless him!
Go Johnny go, Johnny be good!
Guess what.. Homosexual couples won't cause more abortions! What a Revelation.
People are really silly in here and both sides sound just as stupid as the other side but yet they dont see that because they are blind to their own agenda.
When did Americans become so stupid to argue over which pathetic choice of candidate is better. It is like going into a public restroom and arguing about which crap looks better. Its all crap and its all the same.
When did Americans become so stupid to argue over which pathetic choice of candidate is better.

Since the beginning of politics.
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/09/04/r...
There were tens of thousands of protesters AND a Ron Paul Rally just one city away, which attracted another 15,000 people... Why oh why doesn't our "liberal media" show us this on the headline news?
Oh wait, wrong part of the country.. Sorry.
I see gay marriage and abortion as issues that have no place in national politics. Religion is not what drives me. Sorry it just isn't. If that makes me a bad person in your eyes then so be it. I don't really care. Abortion and gay marriage are wedge issues designed to pull in a votes from those (like yourself Michael) that are strongly opposed and deeply spiritual. Seems like their strategy works pretty well, don't you think? Personally I wish that abortion was a state issue. I would vote for Republicans if they would actually follow through and make government smaller, lower taxes, and return power back to the states and the people that live in them. I believe that this is how the Framers of our Constitution intended America to be. I voted Republican in 1996 and 2000. Now in 2008 I feel that the Republicans had their chance and they totally blew it. They lost sight of what they promised America and I can no longer support them, regardless of my position on abortion or homosexuality.
"He follows that new age crap that Oprah pushes!" Please enlighten me about this new age crap. With facts, please.
Because, honestly, I don't have a clue what you're talking about, and I don't think you do either.
And for the record, I don't consider myself a Republican or a Democrat. I do, however, consider myself intelligent enough to take a look at the issues without feeling the need to personally attack either of the candidates, or to buy into any of this nonsense about fake pregnancies and candidates who's names rhyme with Osama.
It's all nonsense.
The ReligiousTolerance.org web site offers some pretty good information, along with some other links about the new age movement.
Here's the link: http://www.religioustolerance.org/newage....
It's site is quite informative about a variety of religious organizations and belief systems, with their research documented.
Thanks for the link. It actually does contain a lot of information that I didn't know. I will admit that I'm not very informed about most religions.
And to Michael, I still don't see what "new age" or Oprah have to do with this campaign. I'd still like to see some type of evidence that backs up your comment.
You're welome, Nobody'sFool. I found out about the site a couple years ago and it's been pretty useful.
Osama,Oprah and others of that ilk may be ingenuously excluding Jesus in a well-meaning effort to include those outside a Christian tradition.
They may be trying to offer assurance that "Our God is for you, too."
That's valid and all well and good.
Heaven is not a restricted country club that only welcomes the "right sort".
If the whosoevers start out finding Jesus or a fire-and brimstone Jehovah as stumbling blocks,God can come to them as the Creator, the Holy Spirit or the baby in the manger.
He may touch them through nature or social justice or science,Joan of Arc,talking lions or angels.
He might reach out to people who discovered evil first.
At some point, they'll have to accept hard,grown-up truths as well as comfortable, sparkly bits.
(Some may have to adapt to a hopeful, rational and accepting Gospel instead of a religion that is solely violent or legalistic.)
We can warn people to be wary of belief systems that are nothing more than an eclectic, generic mish-mosh of fad ideas meant to feed the souls of those who are not ready for spiritual meat.
Instead, they are offered theologies so dilute and inoffensive that they make watered-down blue john seem as rich as Devonshire cream.
They may make an acceptable starting point for those who couldn't tolerate anything more substantial but,if folks don't progress beyond them, they will not grow in faith and may perish from spiritual poisoning or starvation.
Guess what.. Homosexual couples won't cause more abortions! What a Revelation.
-- Posted by darrick_04 on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, at 9:18 PM
Guess what... You're wrong. Many a soul will be aborted into the darkness of hell because of unrepentant homosexuality. You read the wrong Revelation.
Welcome back Mavin!
Keep us informed Michael.
THIS ELECTION WILL BE INTERESTING TO SAY THE LEAST.
When will the next one be due? Oh that's 2012, right.
The next four years could be very informative as to where we are headed in this country.
Go John Paul, mix it up with them.
This country needs a strong third party to shake up the other two. They seem to have only one thing in mind- power for their party, not what is good for American people. They will tell you what they think you want to hear, not what their real agenda is. I'am sorry I don't trust either one of them.
Could we be headed towards the prophecy of a One World Government?
Welcome back Jessie,WE follow the party of Christ anyway.
Feed the trolls. And as Darrick stated from the beginning, Michael only posts his retarded notions for comment hits. Notice when I left and everyone else did his comments dropped to nothing.
EM darlin'...
The preferred term is mentally challenged NOT 'retard'.
If you can just remember that,I'll hold off on trying to get you to stop referring to 'trolls' and start saying Orcish-Americans.
If one person reads these blogs that satisfies me.
Em whe you evovle further, come back!
I could say you are as rude as some monkeys I have known , but that would be a disgrace to simians everywher
LOL quantumcat,
To retard is the warp something. Michael is warped. Like a water-down log. Wasn't meaning the term as a insult against mentally challenged individuals.
Nice insult Michael, It is very Christ-like; get a new keyboard or something. How many monkeys do you know? Bet they can type better than you too.
i am human, sorry for the mispelled words.
Good to see your all most back to normal Monkey just need to fine tune your insults a little more and you be fine.
Sorry Pastor Mike we changed carriers and computer has been down a while.
I welcome my brother and sister in Christ Jesus back.
P.S. Pastor Mike
I do agree with John's comment on when life begains at conception. Nothing dead grows, except the stench from what was alive.
We need to stress that sex is not a sporting event to our next generation, but a matter of life and death to some unborn human.
"Good to see your all most back to normal Monkey just need to fine tune your insults a little more and you be fine."
Back to normal? I never changed. Don't need to either. Please be more original. At least I don't need to start controversy to make myself feel better eh?
"As far as I go I will carry my bible with me in the booth and pray over it for I will"VOTE THE BIBLE!" Whichever candidate shows the most biblical point of view , he or and she will will get my vote.
As Christians , we can not start a change without putting the right people in office.
This is and will be a important election for years to come, vote your conscience, but most of all VOTE THE BIBLE!"
LOL.. You are funny...walk into the election booth and write in "BIBLE", see how much good that does!
Why don't we ask John McCain something about the Bible. Like, what book is the Ten Commandments located in? Who was the author of most of the New Testament, who also killed the very first "Christian preacher"? Was Jesus born on Christmas Day? If so, explain. If not, explain. What does the Bible say about religious wars, based on lies, fear and greed? (Hint: a Successful Surge is not the answer) What country is now the modern day Iraq in the Bible? Has there been religious differences in the Middle East since before the time of Christ? It is profoundly obvious McCain couldn't answer any of these... well, maybe one or two. So I hope you have fun voting for 'Bible', and how little it gets read.
Also, I am very much for Separation of Church and HATE!
nascarfanatic,
Why do you want to ask John McCain questions about something that you believe is a fairy tale and book of fiction??
Whether you believe the bible or not is of no consequence to God, you will be judged by it
hehe. sheeple. can't think for yourself.
Seperation of church and state!!!! I personally don't believe that abortions should me illegal because it is that womans body and her decison. If there will be judgement let that be done by God. Also as far allowing same sex marriage how is his hurting you?? Again let God do the judging.
Also, I am very much for Separation of Church and HATE!-- Posted by nascarfanatic
This is the only comment I've ever read on any of Michael's blogs that made me wanna shout AMEN!
Mr Bell, I'm being completely sincere when I say this- have you ever considered that people like you are the reason that so many people refuse to go to church?
I have friends who were raised in Christinity who have completely lost all faith, because of the hatred and intolerance of religious leaders and zealots.
How many people do you really think you can touch, if all you preach is fear, hatred and intolerance? If you believe that you've been called to spread the word, consider this- maybe you should start spreading some of the good stuff and leave the judgements for God to make.
Just a thought.
I am not intolerant of people , just the sin they live in.
Accept Christ, repent of your sins , live for him , that is all He ask of us.
No church should tolerate homosexuality or pediaphiles or couples who shack up or adulterers.
People like this used to have rock concerts thrown for them .
If a pastor or members of the church knows of the sin going on , they are supposed to point it out.
If not, what is the use of the church?
Michael,
Since the time of Christ some things stay the same. Some will always listen to nothing. I hope you keep the faith and move forward. Let the Pilgrims Progress.
11And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
12And they went out, and preached that men should repent.<------- !!!!!
I believe I would follow the instructions of Jesus above before I would Everybody'sFool.
Bless you brother!

Isn't it true though? If the Church would begin to be for something instead of against everything, then perhaps most churches would be considered more than just a building full of hypocrites. And the only time they are their brothers keeper, is to remind them of their "sins", while disregarding their own.
About the rock concert: "He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone at her." Red Letters, Gospel of John I do not know if I would be so confident as to imply that the concerts are a good idea, or ever were. Jesus was clearly not of the opinion that they were good. Problems with following verses not withstanding.
"No church should tolerate homosexuality or pediaphiles or couples who shack up or adulterers."
May I add Gluttony, Liars, and Cheats? Or is that allowed in your church? Probably eh?
"Since the time of Christ some things stay the same. Some will always listen to nothing."~parkerbrothers
I could say the same for you. Why are you so opposed to what I had to say? While you're reading the bible, why don't you take a quick review of the following verse:
"Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment that you pronounce you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, "Let me take the speck out of your eye," when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye."
Homosexuality is a sin, but according to the Catholic church, a priest who commits the sin of molesting a CHILD of the same sex, should just be shuffled around within the church, in order to avoid a scandal.
Surely you see the hypocrisy in this?
And Michael- I respectfully disagree with you. You do, in fact, seem to be in judgement of the people and not of the sins.
Again I ask, whatever happened to speading the joy of your faith instead of the fear?
While I have my own deep spiritual beliefs, I have many friends who's beliefs are the polar opposite of mine. The one thing that we all have in common is that we share the same common core values and tolerance of each other. If I believed that my love of these people were a sin, then honestly, I would have to question my own faith.
Ironically, my agnostist friends are far less judgemental of me, than you (a fellow Christian)seem to be. I find this quite sad.
Not only sad, but very common.... especially in this area.
Nobody'sFool,
The whole topic of judging has been discussed on here in depth numerous times. It seems to be the #1 responce from anybody whose toes get stepped on a little is to use what you quoted above: "Judge not, that you be not judged."
Go back through the archives of Michael's blogs and you will see that horse that got beat to death.
When you view the subject of judging in its entirety carried throughout the scriptures you too will see the pitfall in using that phrase as an escape-all for justification of any of "our" sin patterns.
Homosexuality is a sin, but according to the Catholic church, a priest who commits the sin of molesting a CHILD of the same sex, should just be shuffled around within the church, in order to avoid a scandal.
Surely you see the hypocrisy in this?

What the "Catholic church" does is not neccassarily what the "Church" is supposed to do. Furthermore just because a Catholic priest commits a sin of homosexuality makes it no less of a sin in God's eyes.
If every preacher and priest in the entire world decide to become homosexuals and all in harmony declare at once this afternoon that homosexuality is no longer a sin I would still get up tomorrow "knowing" it is still a sin. A sin of which repentance should be sought.
I received this as an email today and thought it gave an interesting comment from an interesting man. Not that I agree or disagree with any or all of it but thought it was interesting enough and pertaining to the topic enough to pass on as a viewpoint.

Having conversations with yourself? Interesting. Did you read Revelation 6 times in between each post?
No, I actually read Ecclesiastes once, James four times and Genesis once during the time period in question if you are still interested in knowing my readings.
Which of "your" fairy tales and books of fiction were you engaged with? Snow White or Peter Pan?
Just picking at you nascarfanatic. Loosen up the left front. You are a little tight coming out of the turns and somewhat loose going in. Two turns on the right wedge bolt might help.
